thats like saying orcs used warpaint/tattoos in the past but not present because it wasnt a customization option until shadowlands. its a direct result of how ancient the game is and your point is ridiculous

and the moment they decided to create void elves allerias skin should have turned as purple as the void and armor changed to colors that match the purple/gold of their heritage armor. just like sylvanas changed her amor to a forsaken theme but still reflective of her farstrider roots which is fine

Some of these requests have been going since they announced new customizations in 2019. Including ones I have been giving myself. I have an old list stored somewhere else too. I don’t want to be bothered with trying to dig it up atm.

So it’s actually really realistic timeline for development.

Curious to see how much feedback they did listen to over the years. Or if it will be pretty mediocre.

I know I personally didn’t pick up this expansion at launch or preorder. Due to them not fulfilling tier sets and promised customization was dismissal. Also along with some very obvious reskining content and it being minimal content ontop of it. Paired with the last game they published was WC3 reforged that hurt their reputation drastically. They had a lot working against them. Just mentioning the character customization, as it is the topic of the thread. Also the lack of it was one of the reasons I didn’t preorder, play at launch.

I really want to see a lot more of options for all races.
Especialy more hair sytles, scars and different body options.
A height scale, a skinny, regular and muscular model for each race.

I really want a Forest Troll skin, more tusk options for Trolls, larger tusks for females, different ear options, perhaps beards and more.
More and updated war paints. Make all of them aviable for females too.
Upright posture for males too.

That’s an abomination more Elf then Troll and should never ever become thing.

I have a list for void elves:

More hair colors.
More hairstyles.
Tentacle toggle.
Tattoos. Farstrider and runic, in colors like dark purple for void, light purple for arcane, and blue like alleria.
More earings, and jewelry colors. I would like to choose another color for the “Rune” earing.
Headpieces with void gems.
N’zoth eyes in colors like purple, orange, red.
Corruption in different parts of the body.

Tbh if they stop worry about systems and balancing and go all out in customization this game will actually be good.

Considering they specified LFD and NB, and said HMT would be next in line, we’re likely not getting another 9.0-sized glut of options here. I feel like this thread is just gonna set folks up for disappointment.

This is an old, ongoing list from pre-release of shadowlands.
We know it won’t all make it for 9.1.5, it’s just the relevant patch to spark the conversation.

Requests will continue beyond 9.1.5.

If that is the case Void elves should go back to only being different shades of purple . Just because they used to live in Silvermoon doesn’t mean they shouyld still look like Blood Elves.

I agree I was just countering his argument that Belfs shouldn’t have the face tats like Alleria because to him it is a her thing only but infact reflects her time with the Farstriders which is a Belf organization .

I’d just love for the human and nelf hair styles to be updated. The Raquel and Curly on human look awful compared to the blood elf versions. Also, not keep the faces locked to skintones or the scars locked to certain faces.

Fang/claw options for Blood Elves for the San’layn aesthetic to go along with Dark Ranger options! Along with bat-like ears. Jet black eyes!

One way to increase customisation without having to make new graphics would be to split the parts of the face. Eyes already became a separate option. Why not split them into forehead, nose and cheeks. Then we can mix and match the pieces and gain a ton of options with the minimum of work needed to add it.

Oh and one specific individual request for Zandalari: gold eyes. Makes sense for the Prelates/Paladins, plus their descendant the Night and Blood Elves can have it.

Actually since Night Elves supposedly considered gold eyes a good sign dating back to the time of Azshara the Nightborne should probably get them too now that I think of it.

Blood Elves are losing without getting anything in return a second time.

I’m going to post my old updated list of things people have asked for with regards to Blood Elves.

Though I personally want scars and tattoos. I also want Void Elf hairstyles to make the trade between us losing hair colors and hair style uniqueness.

I made a compilation of all the things I’ve seen people ask for over the last year. I’m trying to be as inclusive as possible with ideas regardless of my own personal opinion on them.

Blood Elves have several subgroups which we would like to see more customization for.

Farstrider Fantasy:
Farstriders are the Blood Elf ranger faction. They have nature themes and are seen in Warcraft 2 and 3. They’re an important part of the Thalassian military.

Customization features which appeal to the Farstrider Fantasy are:

  • Tattoos like the one seen in Warcraft 2.
  • Feathers in hair for nature themes.
  • Arguably braids both long and short to keep hair from being caught in bow strings.

Magister Fantasy:
Magisters are the Blood Elf caster fantasy. Powerful mages of Quel’thalas and an important part of the Thalassian nation.

  • Runic tatoos.
  • Longer hairstyles for ladies.
  • Eyes that match spell color effects for various casters such as orange for fire.
  • Hair crystals.

Blood Knight Fantasy:
Blood Knights are the Blood Elf Paladin faction. Once gritty, they’ve been redeemed by the Light.

  • Scars because close combat injuries happen.
  • Torn or damaged ears.
  • Light colored tatoos to go with the golden eyes.

Other additions:

Class:

  • Druids — Sin’dorei magisters have manipulated nature for ages. If Kultirans can be Druids, why not? They can be motivated by a desire to heal the Dead Scar and can have a redemption arc like Blood Knights did.
  • Shaman — Some people are requesting this. The healing to the Dead Scar narrative can be used here too technically.

Hair:

  • Strawberry Blonde hair color.
  • Pure white hair color.
  • Two-tone hair colors.
  • Luminescent two-tone light hair. (Similar to DI fire hair but light.)
  • Possibly unrealistic anime hair colors.
  • Since Void Elves are getting our skin colors can we get their hairstyles? It’s only fair.
  • Afro-ethnic hairstyles like afros and dreadlocks to go with our dark skin colors.
  • More hairstyles for all races would be great tbh.

Facial Hair:

  • Wizard Beards.
  • More options in general, see Night Elven implimentation.

Skin:

  • Freckles
  • Shiny/Metallic skin tones to reflect the magical nature of Blood Elves.

Ears:

  • Ear armor.

Light Touched themes:

  • Halos
  • Auras
  • Glowing/Light tattoos
  • Gold tattoos
  • Light runes
  • Light miasma

Dark Ranger Theme:
Dark Rangers are undead Rangers but use the Blood Elf rig. The skins for them and eyes for them already exists and it’s just a matter of turning them on. They could also add a Blood Elf rig to Forsaken as a toggle or choice but Forsaken players might not like that.

  • Unlock undead skin for all classes.
  • Unlock red eyes.

The more out there themes:

Darkfallen Theme:
Darkfallen are undead Blood Elves found in Northrend. They’re vampyres and tried to join The Horde during BfA.

  • Undead Skins
  • Red eyes
  • Bat-like ears
  • Claws
  • Fangs
  • Possibly bat wings.

Felblood Elf Theme:
Felblood Elves are Blood Elves who overloaded on the fel and mutated. They have bright colorful skin, horns blackened hands, and little feathery winglets.

  • Colorful skins with darkened cracked hands.
  • Unlocking DH horns for all classes.
  • Wings/winglets, dark, light, possibly matching hair color.

Void Elf Features
Since Void Elves got our skin colors and our hair colors we got nothing in return it’s only fair we ask for Void Elf assets.

  • Void Elf Hairstyles
  • Void Elf facial hair styles
