If everything is shrinking shouldn’t we shrink raid size then?
Yes please. Signed, etc. Not to mention this means more tank slots available and I’m all for that.
No, because this no longer has anything to do with accessibility, you guys are moving the goal post now.
You certainly don’t keep doing the exact same thing and expecting a different result.
The population drop was due to a content drought during cata, stagnated during mop, and then a content drought again during Wod.
I doubt it since Blizzard has done worse things to make the population dwindle, like the scandal that happened at the offices.
But please keep preaching that its due to 20m mythic.
LMFAO.
and you think somehow 10 man will change this or more likely even less of the non meta specs would parse because their are less spots.
Plenty of non-meta specs played back in the day.
Then 25m back in the day isnt Mythic today either. Pointless argument everytime because we all know whats asked. Highest difficulty but for 10m should return. VotI also is much easier than SotF and you still call both “Mythic” even though they are vastly different in difficulty.
sure, but those raids aren’t anywhere near the ballpark of today’s raids.
I never said the overall population is lower because mythic is 20 man. I’m saying the mythic raid population is extremely low and will get lower because keeping a roster of 23-25 people capable of clearing mythic is too large of a barrier for most groups.
congrats that was back in the day and todays groups are evry meta hungry for raid especially in mythic. so you drop the number of slots down to ten. well right away half the slots are filled with buff classes then the dps are going to be what ever pumps the hardest and same with heals
And there’s no informaiton to prove this, the numbers you bring up can be to numerous things (scroll up).
You are literally telling us that the sole purpose of the decline is this imaginary barrier you have because you can make 10 friends but not another 10.

I didn’t say it was.
Which would mean it would need limited to just that 10M.
Sepulcher was over difficult, admitted by the devs.
Voti, being easier, is still infinitely more complicated mechanically then anything found in old heroic, even when it wasn’t as difficult as the last tier we had.
It’s really not controversial to say that it’s easier to find 10-11 good players than 23-25 good players that are all available at the same time on the same days.
Well now that they will have more incentive to balance classes better and have different classes share buffs
That’s not what your original point was out to make though.
I agree with you.
However, this doesn’t cause a “accessibility” issue.
it might for those who cap themselves at 10 friends.
still wont change the meta mentality. there will always be a “best comp” in game like this. so limiting the number of raid slots will not get those classes who are a lower priority more time in the sun it will actually mean they will get less play time.
It is definitely accessibility. You don’t just have to find 23-25 friends. They have to also want to raid mythic. They have to do all the character upkeep outside of raid required to clear mythic. They have to be available at the same time on the same days. They have to be good enough at the game and their class.
Every mythic guild I’ve been in has had a core group of 8-12 people. Others in this thread have also said this. For these groups, it’s much easier to recruit and retain 0-3 players than 11-13 players who fit all the boxes above.
You have a window of two raid nights. Some guild scleared heroic first then going into mythic tonight.
How about waiting for the week to end before throwing up biased data.
