10 man raiding for mythic

Mythic Raid parcipitation will go down over time and eventually theyll either cut it completely and introduce some other form of content instead or make it 10m. 20m with a set schedule, roster issues and all the other crap is just so old and not workable in 2023. Thats why M+ is doing rather well because its is crossrealm, puggable and without any other hassles attached. The funny thing is that M+ is ultra repetetive, very class restrictive and id argue not that fun after all with its crappy timer design and affixes. Yet participation is high simply because its “more” accessible than 20m with all its garbage attached. But I have no hopes, blizzard is creatively bankrupt for changes like this.

They can’t balance anything in game. Yeah, 20 player mythic raiding is bad for the health of the game.

Well in that case 10 man is also bad for the health of the game.

All mythic raiding is bad for the health of the game.

They should switch to raid + format if they want do something.

Anything I cant solo and get BIS gear from is bad for the health of the game.

Actually. Not even that. Just gimme it in the mail.

There is no content or progression system for solo players.

You do you.

Man. I can’t one up that.

I was trying to play this “make up random things game”. But thats the winner.

Nothing gets more extreme and more wrong than that statement. I concede. You win.

But, but cross faction cured everything that ales your raiding scene
Go play with those alliance friends of yours.

Cool

What did I win? Did I pay to win?

Obviously. Subs are generally required to post on the forums. If you dont pay for a sub, you dont post, you dont win.

Damn this is pay to win!

Yeah, when someone posts something that’s that brazenly false, it’s hard to 1up that.

Just a bit of random musing.

It is somewhat amusing, that one of the issues with 10 man raiding was that was that despite some arguing raiding was actually harder at 10 man, the logistics of 25 man was what was supposed to make it the superior form of raiding, thus higher loot rewards and the like.

So one would think, that 10 man should have been the go to raid size because it removes the logistic hurdle and instead enforces far more strict personal hurdles instead.

Bingo. Most are also Guilds that have been around for years
at least the ones who are succesful in Mythic year after year.

Those Guilds are always recruiting. If a group of friends wants to Raid Mythic they should just app together during recrutiment phases.

yeah , I really enjoy 10mans in wotlk , too bad they stopped them

Yeah, because subs are increasing due to mythic raiding

Are they decreasing due the mythic raiding?

Or is Blizzard just overall being a sub-optimal company within the last few xpacs?

nahh, mythic raiding is whats killing the game,

10 man should be more difficult on an individual level than 20 or 25 man. In 10 man your personal contribution matters more, you will get random mechanics at a higher rate, and assigned mechanics require a higher % of individual participation. It’s also more reasonable as a raid designer to have more punishing mechanics in 10 man since it’s much easier to coordinate 10 people than 20/25.

You tell me why subs are declining for over a decade now. Obviously, it is one of the main design pillars of the game.

Like I said mythic raiding isn’t helping the health of the game.

Maybe we should start with fixing the classes/specs so if they were to bring 10m back (or make it a standard) no classes would be left behind due to their lack of group utility.

So before 10m raiding, maybe we should make topics addressing the lack of group functionality for some of the classes.

I’m not against the 10m idea, it’s just if you were there when they were live, then you’d know it wasn’t as great as people are making it out to be.
