Exactly this, and it is such a stupid take on an MMO. The game used to be multi faceted, you could choose to do the things you found fun, raiding, m+, Open world questing, leveling alts, professions, pvp, transmog pet and mount collecting etc
For example, If you didn’t like raiding you could ignore it and go back to previous expacts and farm mogs.
Now Ions new gamestyle dictates that if you want those OLD MOGS you need to raid in current content to be able to go back and do that. What stupid freaking logic is that?! Like what the actual hell is wrong with them? The wouldn’t know how to retain subs if it whacked them square in the face at this point, they are so phenomenally out of touch with the average player base (non hardcore peeps) it’s astounding.

On top of not being able to solo, Blizz changed how we loot tier in legacy raids… instead of a token for priest, paladin or warlock, I just get a piece of tier gear for any class. It is designed to take even longer to farm tier now.

Beastbot now shows up with a yellow level number. Previously it was gray as a 60, up until Monday.

I saw elite mobs in BFA that had that much health when I was 50…does the health total look too high? I have no clue why the level would show up yellow. At least it’s not showing level 60.
It does seem like changes are being made at least, so they are doing something.
Yes, the health is ridiculous. In 8.3, I had around 550k health as a fury and beastbot had 1501k, so he had 3x health. Now his health is around 13x higher, as a 178 60. Arach is in the same boat.

There are a couple of trolls refuting it. But they HAVE done some fixes in the past few days. Not enough though, there is still a lot of stuff broken.
Even leveling dungeons some mechanics are broken. I was leveling my paladin and some legion bosses were 1 shotting the tank lol it’s just crazy

So, my level 120 hunter soloed Sethralliss with ease a few times, but when I send her in as 50, she dies over and over a before I even get to the first boss. I rejected all Corruptions entirely so that’s not where her weakness is coming from.

Legion Legacy content is harder now then in BFA or even in the pre patch, the health scaling is a joke.

just poor game design, they got rid of scaling in pvp looks like they need to in pve to. even as got better gear in shadowlands nothings any easier than it was, i still spend just as much time on my main enhance sham healing myself up and still taking forever to kill mobs. i’m like 186 if i remember right and don’t see much difference in open world content being any easier. idk just annooying to me that levels don’t matter anymore basically and it seems the wow universe is scaled for you to have mythic gear legendaries and everything else to even be remotely easy.
The whole getting weaker every expansion is kind of getting old after all these years to. i done gave up doing any old content seems they don’t care so why should i.

It looked like he basically said everything is working as intended, you got squished your supposed to be weaker.

they made the maw and alot of other stuff were you basically have to group for everything even torghast seems way easier as a group now and i did both before changes and solo definitely seemed the way to go for me. maybe they want everyone grouping for old content to lol.
I’m sure people have, but hitting max level and going back to grind old content shouldn’t be like trying to break into Fort Knox with a toothpick. It’s idiotic.

Exactly! If this is “working as intended” then clearly “intended” is “loose all sense of meaning to levels and progression”.
If this is the direction they want to take wow in then i’ll go play a different game where my hard work/hours invested is saved and progression is never lost.

Yeah, that interview where he blew the problem off tells me that the squish as it stands was intended. Whether it’s “being a jerk” or if they did it just to reset a baseline for the game, the fact their communication has flat out sucked with all of this has been the worst part of it all.
