None of what you said matters. It’s literally just an accessibility feature for new players or players wanting to try out a new class.
Blizzard recognizes and appreciates the high skill ceiling wow has and there is no intention for this feature to change that. People who want to be more competitive will either never use it or stop using it soon after they are more comfortable with their new class.
As long as is not the best way to play, there is nothing wrong with it. There is a reason we have easy specs with few buttons and other with complex rotation, is so people play what they enjoy.
If someone has fun pushing their 1 button, more power to them.
just ran one of my demo locks on the PTR. Yeah, I dont think this one key thing is gonna be breaking any DPS records lol
Its pretty cool though.
Definitely seems like new players would like it.
For me, I think I like having more control over what Im firing off. …it wont let you spam a couple abilities like you might need to in certain situations.
That would be me. I’m a sensitive Gnome and take offense at many, many things. Goblins, for example, or Orcs trying to punt me. It’s not easy being the gorgeous, charming me, many are jealous.
So the essence of your multi-para post is - you don’t like this thing because it hurts gameplay. From what I’ve heard and read, it will not be as effective as for someone who wants to play the character at its most competent. I know for a fact that it will help a lot of players with movement issues. If it makes their game more fun, that’s fine.
Ultimately, its a choice, as many things are in this game. I might use it on a class I struggle with (Rogues, for example) but I can’t see myself using it on my Hunters. I mean, why would I, I know how to play a Hunter.
I know you have a good head on your shoulders. You’re not dumb. How does this help players learn their class and not make them comfortable in a 1 button system?
yeah it certainly forces you to go thru the cycle. lol.
I dont think Id get much use from it, personally, but I will find a spot to keybind it regardless.
need to start keeping better track of names. Id bet its the same names / accounts popping up every time Ion and crew announce something new who are incessantly whining about it in here.lol
This makes no sense. How does someone doing something easily but poorly hurt someone trying to play well? This is going to be tuned for the bottom of the play difficulty kind of levels. Nobody is going to be crushing Mythics with this, or even heroics from the sound of it. They are going to be casually roaming around. Maybe there will be some lfr players who don’t stand in fire as much because they are one button killing things, and getting kicked for low dps.
In short, this is not going to change a thing but let some people who want to casual it up casual it up.
This is just such a weird argument, it’s like you are talking about marriage or something. How dare those dirty casuals ruin your sacred oath to min max!!
What other people do in a video game that doesn’t directly effect you…generally doesn’t effect you at all.
I literally just tried in on demo lock…it absolutely WILL help new players becauseyou can SEE what its firing off and when. Like a teacher …you know…TEACHING you how to do it lmao
How is the GCD impact of the one button rotation? I wager its pretty substantial, which is good for a learning tool. Lets people see what its firing and gives some time to absorb it before firing the next ability.
