If you’re sensitive and are easily offended then do not continue.
Making this game 1 button type gameplay destroys the essence of RPGs and games in general. You and I pick up a game from the store not knowing what we are getting into but we are excited for it for some reason. We delve into it not knowing how to play at first but we keep going as we fall in love with it. We learned. We grew. We became the character whether it was in a fantasy role, sci fi, or modern era. We learned the “enemies” tactics and weaknesses and used what we learned in that game to defeat them. Each boss felled we celebrated in the work we put in.
It hurts the future of gameplay. Like I said above…gaming is a journey. Not just in the storyline but in what our characters do. We learn our abilities, spells, and how they come together to make our character/s great. How can a person appreciate the accomplishment? How is it even a game anymore and not just a visual novel where you just press one button constantly? How does the future generation enjoy something that requires no effort?
It hurts the players who do not use it. Is it fair to the basic player that would not use this versus the one button player? I have to use my multi button rotation versus, in essence, a cheat that allows players to do everything right? Because that’s what it is. A cheat. You spout that it’s to allow younger people to play but in essence all it is is a cheat to do things without the human factor. No skill. Just push a button and you’re good.
I really hope this doesn’t happen. I really hope this is not the future.

It will not be the most optimal way to play, it’s an accessibility feature for disabled players. It will not be competitive dps by a significant margin.
It’s got a gcd penalty already, and it won’t time your abilities out for you, or your cooldowns. It won’t replace actually playing your class. It will make it easier if you are not capable of playing your class normally, but it will not be better.

They already announced it there is no way they will go back. The goal is to make the game so easy to play someone who has never heard of it before can cruise right away.
It’s all about money. More players = more money

Do wheel chairs destroy the essence of shopping?
Do crutches destroy the essence of moving?
Do canes destroy the essence of walking?
No. You aren’t impacted if other people can at a minimum do more content than world content. You may have an ableist view, and its disgusting, but more people able to enjoy the game more and you not agreeing with how, doesn’t matter.

And yet there are people with disabilities who still play and dominate in gaming. They find a way without being catered to.

You don’t really seem to understand how this is going to work and are just offended by an option that won’t actually affect you.

Not everyone has the same disability. If you don’t need it, then you don’t need it. But some people do.

It won’t be good, just fyi.

Did everyone’s eyeballs just skip over the 0.2 seconds being added to the GCD if you use this feature?
No one is parsing with this.

Really? I had no idea the number of buttons you had to wack in a raid with all these mechanics somehow destroyed RPGs.

I don’t get all you gate keepers feeling butt hurt because someone else might actually learn to play… and lets get this right, this feature will help people learn their class. It isnt going to be the top end player but they will be able to play and contribute. The extra GCD will have an effect so if you’re worried JoeBob will beable to beat your DPS score then… maybe you were not that good after all.

It creates a situation where elitsists whine and cry that someone else might be playing the game differently. It’s absolutey hilarious to watch.
Just leave people alone. You do not dicatate how someone else plays the game. If you don’t want to use this option, then don’t use it. I really wish they would start just deleting these threads.

Tell me you didn’t watch the video without telling me.
More uninformed nonsense.

Stop nitpicking what someone else might do and mind your own business.
If you think the 1-button is going to infringe on your prestigious performance then you are already bad enough to be the type of player these can help. Even without the GCD increase, these tools cannot predict what’s going to happen next in the encounter, when you’re gonna have to move, or even when something is about to die so throwing a full cast-time Chaos Bolt is a bad idea.

Plus the fact that the automated rotation will be nowhere near optimal and full of mistakes, just like Hekili is. Except with the one button version you won’t even have the option to ignore it when its being dumb, it will just do its thing while you spam 1.

They are deleting a thread or two here and there, but they might need to step up their game.

Trying to shame me into accepting something is not going to work. The real shame to you and Blizzard is not working with the community that is disabled. Looking at the work they put into building the pieces to be able to play, and using those same people to help others into gaming. Instead of putting in a new thing that is going to get exploited. But go ahead and keep using shame.

I mean, I don’t even have to try very hard. You have been thoroughly shamed already and not by me.
Unless Blizzard says so, even then I won’t believe them, I don’t believe it.
