So it’s been about 1 and 1/2 years since mount equipment was introduced, give or take.
Did you set it and forget it?
Did you just forget it?
Did Blizzard forget about it?
Does anyone find it “better” than the few unique mounts we had prior?
Why are herbalists still doomed to use Sky Golems(or the pallete swap) that sway wildly while flying?
I only really remember it’s a thing when a random alt starts getting dazed and needs barding.
I think it was a crap way to take away the uniqueness of the mount I spent so much time working towards, to never be expanded on, to end up a moot point as there’s so little water to matter in Shadowlands.
Yea i just put water walk into every toon and forget about it. I was very unhappy about talking water walking away from the bug mount it was a load of BS
They had an opportunity to go places and do something with the system.
They declined.
…Then again, I suppose we should all be thankful they didn’t just slap zone restrictions on the existing pieces and make us pay/grind for the same functionality ad nauseam.
I feel the pain for people who had to grind for it , but it’s better for new players. If they play on server without id**ts running economy they can get if for few thousands gold.
I was on Ravencrest and changed that server due stupid economy. Piece of mail rune belt lvl 4 is absurd like 100-200K
Changed to blackwing 60K rank 4 mail piece. When people know how to run economy
There are gazillion mounts. When Blizz found out that even after having tons of beautiful mounts, people were stuck with an ugly Mosquito Strider mount becoz it’s the only one that could walk in water. To fix it, they introduced Mount Equipment.
Thanks for Mechagnomes for inventing it. It wont be invented without them. LOL.
I gave up on buying waterwalking equipment. All my newer alts who didn’t have it already just use the fishing raft, which is way more useful, as you can fish or click quest items from it.
It solved the problem of the game looking ridiculous because everyone was riding the same water walking bug in an island and ship themed expansion that didn’t get flight for over a year.
That was the main complaint: “I don’t like seeing 100% of players on that mount on all times! Remove it from the game, Blizzard!”
Which was totally weird, because only about 30% of accounts even had it. But the people making that demonstrably false claim made it over and over again. “It bothers my eyes that I see people using the mount of their choice. Take away that option.”
