1/8m Raiders being 380+

It’s not the orbs /runners…

It’s just the boss is pointless… he drops trash loot not even worth the time… nothing from G’huun is actually good for most of the classes… only shield and few stuff…

And here we have the biggest problem. It’s not titanforging (even though that’s garbage too…) it’s getting free mythic loot from failing a 10 each week.

Technically, all you would need to do is put a 100% chance on the coins for raid bosses. Then as long as you can find the time to go in and kill 2 bosses, your not only guaranteed 2 drops (1 more then you are for M+ but way more work), you atleast have maybe 1/3 to 1/5 chance to actually get what you need…

you know, instead of farming conquest points for it.

Then you still gotta do your 10+ again for dust :frowning:

Because the majorities aren’t going to waste 1hr and more on +10 if they know there is nothing there to do…

Why do you guys want to kill Mythic+ ? i don’t get it.

You like raiding? go for it, you like being with 20 people and a Guild? you have the choice. no one is forcing you to Raid.

Same goes for PVP you like to PVP at the highest level? Go for it…

Gearing nowadays is from so many sources…

Different people likes different things, I’d rather grind PVP rating and ear high ilvl gear… would you complain about that aswell? Waaah why 2100+ rated players are getting 385+ ilvl?

I don’t see the logic at all… If you want Raiding to drop the best gear, go play classic.

You kidding? He drops a weapon! OK, not the best weapon, but when you ran up until the end of the current patch with 345/350s you use what RNG gives you!

(people who think so-and-so will be replaced when the next raid starts are either dreaming or planning to spam Mythic+)

Although, I FINALLY got both my weapon slots filled, so I was just there because a friend asked. I feel like even this whole raid tier was clunky and no fun (seriously, did boss 1 need 3 phases?) compared to the prime rib that was Antorus and Tomb of Sargaras.

My DH is 370, havent stepped a foot in even a heroic dungeon, or LFR, let alone a mythic raid. This expansion finally has it right as far as Im concerned. Mythic raiding and M+ dungeons should be for the thrill of the kill, for people who love that sort of thing. Besides, all you mythic raiders will be 425 in a month anyways, wont you? All the rest of us will just get blown away. It just sucks for you now cause you’re in the downtime between raids.

My shaman is 378 and doesn’t do mythic, but my druid is 5/8 mythic and is only 376.

On the one hand I enjoy my shaman more and I’m glad I’ve been able to get gear, but on the other hand I do kind of see the point and that my druid has less gear despite working through mythic is kind of sad.

Gearing is not good in WoW at the moment.

  1. The ilvl escalation is too steep. It needs to be shallower, so that there is less difference between a fresh 120 and a character that has mythic Uldir on farm. It would be different if Uldir was a later raid tier, but it’s the first freakin’ raid!!!
  2. Non-challenging content such as incursions and warfronts should not reward such high ilvl gear.
  3. Ghuun should, as all last bosses in a raid should, have a chance to give out especially tasty gear. Not necessarily higher ilvl gear, but at the least something that’s itemised so that it’s clearly BiS for your spec.
  4. WF/TF doesn’t help either. Having high ilvl is just a matter of dumb luck now. It populates raiding parties with players of high ilvl/low skill. This is not intended to be disparaging. Most of these players COULD get better under the right circumstances… there’s just no incentive to do so at the moment. Everyone’s just outgearing content.
  5. Really we need to get away from this mindless pursuit of gear. It’s not about the gear, it’s about the content. Gear just enables you to do increasingly challenging content.

First of. Its 415. Secondly 95%+ of mythic raiding guilds arent method pace. Its 1 maybe 2 bosses a week until a wall then its definitely 1 a week until last boss which averages 200+pulls. No one is going to be decked in 415s besides world first runners until almost march. Mythic raiders are going to average 1 extra 415 over heroic raiders for at least the first 3 weeks simply because only 4 people out of 20 actually get gear. Gear is extremely scarce in raid where people go weeks withoit getting worthwhile pieces.

Plus affixes change each week, but mythic G’huun stays the same.

Most people play this game as a single player game now, nobody cares about raiders except other raiders. People do what they have to to feel like they are progressing in whatever it is they have fun doing. Your self worth due to what underoos you are wearing doesn’t ever factor into their minds.

The truth is casuals are what make the game money. The raiders make up a tiny % of the population, and specifically making content just for them is totally cost ineffective. The gear system we got now is put into place so that content can be used on all the player base, thus saving time finding ways to entertain the casuals AND the raiders. You think with the way the game is being money driven now the suits care about how sad and empty you feel inside because some dude only has 10 less ilevels than you?

What point? That people don’t understand how the game is being developed anymore, thinking we are still playing vanilla? That a bunch of grown men have their egos tied to a value in a video game? That, seeing as raiding is becoming less and less important to an overwhelming majority of the playerbase, the devs are making gear easier to get so people can participate much easier in their esports of arena and mythics?

Evolve or die, raiding isn’t the way of the future to those in charge.

mythic+ players can get geared fine, arena players had systems back in the day that were better than they are now

the game isn’t evolving, its devolving - so the game isn’t surviving as well as it had in the past because it hasn’t adapted

I’m an LFR hero and have heroic Uldir ilvl due to casual low level M+ keys.

I agree with you, OP, that you should have the best gear in the game because you put in the time. I should only be in blues because I’m a lazy player that doesn’t feel like investing time into this game.

Blizzard’s lottery system of loot with no clear and consistent power leveling process is a terrible, terrible, terrible design choice and ruined any desire I have for late game since Legion.

Yeah really. Current WoW is pushing a lot of players away. That point cannot be refuted. The gearing system is part of the problem.

Now, I challenge you to try and come up with a reason why that is instead of going to the knee jerk reaction that I hate casuals having good gear.
