Not from vanilla to Wrath, that I recall.
Appears to have been added in MoP, so not really relevant to 1.12 vs 1.5.
Its a good thing I dont recognize your ability to know how many people want what version then huh. And even if that were true ill still ask for the version I want. Will I get it? Probably not. But if enough people do maybe we might get a compromise and have av 15 weekends or something. So both sides can experience the version they want.
We are in agreement.
So âfor the betterâ means taking a battle between two warring factions, reducing those npcs to pathetic fodder, removing the bulk of them, and creating a <5 minute zerg where you donât even have to worry about bunkers/towers?
Interesting.
Continue to repeat that, as it continues to be historically wrong.
There are probably more people who want modern wow rather than classic. Your point being?
It is relevant, because 1.12 AV closely approximates modern AV.
Hell, AV right now is supposedly more antithetical to zerg rushes than 1.12 AV. I havenât played AV since mid Legion, so I donât know what changes were made.
And 1.12 AV was in vanilla.
If you donât like zergs you know what, do something about it and stop them. Donât sit here whining for blizzard to add NPCâs just because you refuse to use a pvp solution to a pvp problem.
Thatâs a massive stretch. 1.12 you could still bog it down for hours and hours if you chose to. Thereâs no countdown to failure any more.
Unpopular opinion, but fact. The people whining about every AV being a zerg donât realize you can queue with your friends and defend and stop a zerg. Itâs a MMORPG. Make some friends with some similar goals.
So basically you and Zyrius have again picked up the talking point of âyou can always turtleâ, ignoring the fact that early AV was not a binary choice of zerg/turtle and neither of those options are engaging gameplay.
Nobody is asking NPCs to be put in, we are asking for the NPCs and other game elements to not be removed. But you know that already.
The major differences between 1.12 AV and earlier are the number of NPCâs and their strength the change you want is more NPCâs than are in 1.12 AV.

I do not share your perspective that having an earlier version of the BG would be a âchangeâ. But hey, you do you.

AV was not a binary choice in 1.12, but it did have choices. However, in 1.5 there was only the slogfest.
Again though, these are arguments on differences, not a justification of why they need to deviate from their baseline. There is no compelling need to change from what theyâre doing across the board, only a desire on the part of some players to have a difference.
Support the 1.5 PVP Weekends idea, and then you can prove how popular it is down the road. Compromise is a beautiful thing, but it takes two.
However, in 1.5 there was only the slogfest.
There was also the choice of AB and WSG if one doesnât enjoy *slogfests.
(*actual ongoing engaging content and immersive gameplay)
Compromise is a beautiful thing, but it takes two.
I already provided a compromise earlier:
1.12 for the first 6 months, allowing those who are only in it for the loot and do not actually like the BG to get it over with, then change it over to early AV from there on out so it has depth, content and longevity for those who actually enjoy playing for the sake of the gameplay. Early AV would have a longer shelf-life than the hollowed out shell.
What happens when you take 15-20 of your team and defend your end boss? You end up with a 2+ hour long battle against other players.

The best compromise is to simply offer both versions and let people pick what they want.
We finally find something we can agree on.
I would much prefer they propose both than just the 1.12 version. I am willing to wait 3 hours to get into a 1.5-1.8 AV versions.

First 6 months of CP1, CP4 or CP6? And again, the âalways 1.5â breaks what their intent was. CP4 AV 1.5 and CP6 AV1.12 would be more likely to gain traction.
