Someone on @TipsOut’s stream said that they had found earlier backups a few months ago, but I can’t find any confirmation of it.
If they do have those backups though, and can plug in valid procs and internal values, I don’t see why we can’t have progressive itemisation, 8 debuffs for the first three content patches and all the other things that go with that.
Not so much every patch, but at least manage the raid gearing vs boss difficulty better.
