Found a black lotus, halfway through grabbing it and 2 mobs agro me. Soon as they do another guy comes and takes it. 0-10, how scummy is this to do.

You see similar situations all the time. You clear a camp of mobs around a chest, someone else swoops in and takes the chest. You clear mobs out around a rare spawn, someone swoops in and snags it. If it was ever a rule it was an unspoken rule. I dunno, expecting a modicum of etiquette out of people (in general) nowadays is just a surefire way of walking away disappointed.

I don’t do it personally because I just go “oh he’s got it okay no worries” and move along but it has happened to me, people are the worst.

Edit: Either that or it was a gnome. I find it easiest to blame all hardships and inconveniences on gnomes.
