🐍 Why should Sethrak be an Allied/Playable Race? 8.3 and beyond

That’s what they really are. Got a troll fetish going on there for them.

But let’s get back to Sethrak.

I guess opening Voldunai up for Alliance would not work for Sethrak. I know people have said Sethrak are part of it but that is not what I am seeing?

Well Sethrak only in the Voldun desert they don’t live anywhere else on Azeroth.

I don’t know why it wouldn’t work, they gave us their temple, we don’t have to take all of the desert we could just take the coast. To make it fair the horde could take some part of Kul Tiras, some area they already “own” as well
maybe the mountains with the Etin? The temple would only be important for the fresh Sethrak players then they will get moved over to SW like the rest of the AR.

Sethrak could live anywhere, since their desert used to be jungle they don’t need deserts to live or anything and since they are highly intelligent if they get to cold they can just bundle up.

I mean the Faction/Reputation.

But on your point, yeah that could work. Doesn’t exactly look like the Alliance is going to leave the port they set up from what I can tell. Especially since they get along with the Sethrak. Maybe rebuild on those ruins.

Both factions need places for their displaced people.

Reminds me that I read an odd parallel between Uldum and Vol’dun and that Uldum used to be a jungle as well.

Oh sorry, the rep could just be “Vorrik’s Faithful” or something. They have been practicing with making nicer rep grinds like the bumble bee one so they could add a lot of throw away reps now.

Or they could add them as a new sort of AR: One that doesn’t need rep grinds. Then all future AR additions can be the same. Maybe they will just be unlocked via story prog/questlines.

I’d love to see the Sethrak added to the Alliance but I just don’t think blizzard will invest the development $$$.

In all honesty, Blizzard missed an opportunity with the Sethrak on alliance side, you see the beginning of the Sethrek quest chain in Voldun, but you never deal with them again outside the odd world quest.

  1. I enjoy your name.

  2. Never say never. I think the Sethrak could pay for themselves so to speak.

Oh! This is true. Or a way to add in impromptu ones.

Maybe have people complete a small chain and achievement like the Bee and it unlocks the reputation/faction. Using the Snake Eater achievement in Temple of Sethraliss as part of it could be a great step in there.

If snakes could only live in deserts, I would like someone to explain the ones that exist in Brazil, where I live.

Unless I have learned wrong, I am sure that my country is not a desert to its full extent with at most a semi-arid region in the northeast.

But we can find snakes of various species almost throughout the country.
but most common are in the northern region.

Sethraks are not restricted by climatic environments.
Sethraks are not tuskars. LOL

We have several of them in nazmir

We still need cat girls in wow.

I would welcome Sethrak, but I’d rather all allied races be neutral and allow for the choosing of your preferred faction.

Snakes live all over the place. We got snakes that live where I am and it sometimes gets -55f/-48c. Course they’re hibernating then. :joy:

And who said Sethrak are exothermic (cold blooded). Maybe they’re weird and endothermic (warm blooded).

They’re definitely omnivores since they’re seen with fruit, etc.

All in all, Sethrak can inhabit other parts of Azeroth. I’m hoping to see some in Uldum or Tanaris, Whether there is a splinter faction there or some from Vol’dun migrate there and form a new group.

I think the “Vorrik’s Champion” achievement that already exists would make a perfect fit for unlocking the rep with Vorrik/the devoted.

This would be perfect.

Though. How would this work if say Sethrak joined the Alliance? Or were somehow neutral?

Would an Alliance player have to complete the achievement on a Horde alt?

Would there be an equivalent made or used for Alliance to do? Or would the achievement be made universal?

Vulpera are not enemies with the Sethrak they are enemies of the faithless. Which the other sethrak are also enemies with.

I love how every person who quotes me on this ignores the fact I specifically said the faithless in my same post.

You couldn’t use the faithless as an allied race for alliance. They are evil.

Evil is subjective. One can argue that the Lightforged are “evil” as well with how they oppress their views and faith on others with multiple examples showing how radical they are both in AU Draenor and in how Alleria Windrunner was treated. Well, unless you want to make the argument Alleria is evil, in which case I would like to point out that she is also Alliance.

One could also argue that the Dark Iron Dwarves are evil as well, and if you choose to say “Not all, the ones who joined the Alliance are not!” then I say to once again return to my original statement–

So were dark irons. And eredar (née Draenei). And Zandalari. And Forsaken (kinda still are).

Oh, and orcs. And trolls.

Also blood elves, at various points.
