🐍 Why should Sethrak be an Allied/Playable Race? 8.3 and beyond

Finally someone else in this thread with sense

An equivalent would have to be added if they’re added as neutrals.
If they would turn out to be alliance only, then they would need more story which could work as the prerequisite. As I don’t see them going alliance with what we got currently.

I agree. Where they stand now, it would not be as a long shot to rekindle friendship with the Zandalari and the Horde.

Alliance would take more work but it still could be feasible. Anything is possible at this point.

Alliance befriended a Purple blood elves crack squad, with little done by them.

Just Blizzard uses the same formula.
Not as if it was harder in a 2nd time!

I mean, this is true. :woman_shrugging:t2: I even double checked to make sure I got my facts straight and that is was spontaneous lore written to implement them.

So it certainly would not be hard to just associate the Sethrak with an existing, random faction. Though at least Uldum Accord would make some sense.

Champions of Azeroth is another. Makes a little less sense but also not impossible. And well, takes longer to grind the rep for this one so Blizzard might like that. Just like Argussian Reach, the rep earned from story quests is minimal at best. But that’s fine by me. Let them put the Sethrak behind a longerish grind. I won’t complain. Would you?

Sethrek should go into Horde only, no more animal characters on Alliance ty
except cat girls, as that’s the only sexy race left.

Well sure, i’m down for cat boys too. Might actually have a more natural body shape than steroids, twink, hunchback, or brawny.

I’m fine with them going Horde. It makes more sense than Alliance (though if Blizzard says Alliance, then they’d be going Alliance. Can’t do anything about it. I’m pretty much on Alliance cause my fiancĂ© wanted to play Dark Iron Dwarves. Told him that if Sethrak got added to Horde he had no choice but to follow me.)

They’re still going to need a faction/reputation to do so. And both factions I mentioned can be done by either Alliance or Horde. So it’s a win win. I can grind it out on my Worgen here then defect to the Horde. Or I stay. :woman_shrugging:t2:

Either way my Worgen and half my other toons are probably going to be turned into a snake.

But if we get Saberon we’re probably going to see something more akin to a Charr from Gw2 than say a Miqo’te from ff14.

Not! I wouldn’t complain about going through a grind of any kind if after fulfilling that grind I could use the sethraks.
Be that grind in the ally or the horde.

Just that the breed is in my best interest and I will do the grind smiling!

I’m thinking a lot of people may feel this way. Rather have a grind and get Sethrak than have no Sethrak playable at all.

I won’t mind it one bit. It’s completely worth the reward!

This is part of what I find great about the pro-sethrak community, and why I wish Blizz would listen to us. We’re largely just motivated by pure love and excitement for a particular race they’ve designed, in a way that very often transcends disagreement about faction bias or dissatisfaction with rep grinding.

We just really love sneks, okay? You can put them on any faction you like, give them whatever requirements you like–we’ll do anything to get our hands on playable danger noodles. I won’t care if they’re Horde. I’ll play those Hordenoodles any day. It’s totally worth it.

It would be absolutely criminal if we got Sethrak before Naga!!

I don’t care what faction they join at this point, I just want them playable!
They would fit in just fine with the Horde and make a funny dynamic with the Vulpera, however they’d also make for a nice contrast on the Alliance and also serve as Vulpera’s equals and rivals as well.
Either way as soon as I saw them revealed I wanted to play as them.

I definitely would prefer if they were Alliance since we are way past due for something cool but if they were horde I guess i’d just give up the ghost and swap.

I mean who wouldn’t?

I would prefer Sethrak for the Alliance too. Then my fiance could keep his dwarves and I could be the crazy snake lady I always dreamed of being. And Alliance is past due for something cool and truly good. Yeah, Mechagnomes have their place but the timing was awful. I am not surprised about the icy and poor reception they’ve gotten. And I don’t think they’re cool at all, lol!

But Sethrak definitely are!

While I would personally like for them to be on the Alliance as I feel like they’d give some much needed flavor to the faction, I would also be alright with them going Horde, if it meant we could play as them. I feel like the game in general would really benefit from having a reptilian race and the Sethrak are very endearing.

(I would swap my main to the Horde if the Sethrak were a playable race for them).

At this point, having sethrak as a playable race on any faction would be better than not having them at all.

Sethrak should HAVE been announced alongside Vulpera.

Maybe they had some deadline they didn’t meet and reskinned gnomes? (yeah right).

Now I kind of need to see a Sethrak all bundled up in a hoodie with fuzzy lining. That’d be so cute

I agree! Well? C’est la vie!

At least now, I can only make more gold on my hunter tauren, transfer to a more populous kingdom, and use the accumulated gold to make life easier for my 3 vulperas.:fox_face::fox_face:
