★ PSA: Void Elf Paladins are justified in the Lore ★

I gave up on this a few days ago.

Void elf paladins are never happening.

Wait. I’m seeing double Sylvanas. That’s too many Sylvanas.

They’re the same player too.

It looks like a robot has its back turned to us, and it’s holding a baby, and your character is the baby peeking over its shoulder at us.

No that’s my Gnomish defense beach ball. I throw it at people who annoy me.

I will allow it.

Why not?

Blizzard has already stated they’re actually considering it. Surprisingly.

Wait you’re the same person… you already know that?

Disillusioned so easily?

I’m OK with Void Elf Paladins if it becomes justified in game with lore and proper setup. I feel like the lore and setup are the issue though.

I think there’s more in game justification for Forsaken Paladins, and 16 years later we still don’t see them

This topic has failed me.

Actually, my idea is different from this.

A paladin can either be:

  1. a human or a dwarf that is a zealot of the Holy Light, or
  2. any religious zealot of any religion.

The Human Paladin is an example of a Paladin, but so is the Tauren Sunwalker (who prays to the Sun God), or the Zandalari Freethinker (who prays to the Loa).

I’d love to see a plate-wearing zealot of the void, whose abilities are all void-colored instead of gold.

Bhoppi quit.

You are literally responding to the same troll who’s been posting high elf customizations won’t work, then later says high elves should be a thing in Alliance, then later posts these threads to rile people up.

Not to mention, they named themselves as Sylvanas.

Who cares? I wish they would give players everything they want. It’s fun to get excited about this stuff, but the truth is… the wait can sometimes be many months or many years.

I don’t want to live in a constant state of waiting. Before 9.1.5 Blizzard seemed to be communicating more and they really delivered a lot, but… of course… we want more. Of course we do!

Now it feels like communication has gotten cold from Blizzard. The hope is becoming dark and dim.

Go do something else, fam. Go play FF14 , or other games. WoW isnt’ everything. It isn’t healthy for you.

No matter what I say, know this…

I have a character slot reserved for a void elf paladin.

Sorry to disappoint you, this is actually entirely false.

Eh Botanist, druid whats the difference?

Though I think that non-canon Tabletop thing had Blood Elf Druids didn’t they?

Didn’t we kill all of the botanist back in TBC?

Besides, from WoWPedia,

These thalassian druids have not been referred to in any canon source since. The Warcraft Encyclopedia states that “Elven magi” created the runestones that surround Quel’Thalas. World of Warcraft: Chronicle Volume 1 also states that the runestones were created by Dath’Remar Sunstrider’s most powerful arcanists.

Despite the retcon, in the Botanica wing of Tempest Keep, several of Kael’thas Sunstrider’s blood elves use abilities that are similar to the Restoration skills of the druid class, though they are never referred to as “druids”. Most notably of these elves is High Botanist Freywinn, who is seen wearing what appears to be the shoulder armor and robes of the tier 1 armor set for druids, the Cenarion Raiment, and even transforms into a tree. Following encounter with Freywinn, the theme of the instance becomes increasingly arcane and corrupt, with satyrs, gene-splicers, and mutate fleshlashers, which seem to be named after the lasher, a common plant mob. The degenerative nature of the instance hints that the blood elves in Botanica are not utilizing druidic practices, but corrupting the plants by other means, such as the ancient Warp Splinter who has apparently been corrupted by arcane magic.

I don’t think they were even druids to be honest.
