So basically the vision of Ultron from What if
It makes no effing sense. Not to mention the Jailer’s own agents worked against a united multiverse. So even if that was what he wanted to achieve the whole time (we have no evidence of any of his motivations), he not only failed in his singular goal but achieved PRECISELY the opposite. After waiting how long exactly? This was his master plan?
???
???
On top of this, he thought it easier and more timely to destroy and remake the multiverse instead of sharing his knowledge with his kin. Or the Maw Walker. Or literally anyone.
The Jailer’s death meant nothing but his life meant even less. There is absolutely nothing redeemable about his place in the story.
Not really, a great villain is Aizen or Emet-Selch who don’t contradict themselves.
“Death comes for the soul of your world.” Zovaal.
Grinds the souls of the innocent into dust for amusement Zovaal.
Imprisons and inflicts torture as a pastime Zovaal.
The Zovaal whose own allies actively worked to divide and weaken the multiverse.
The Zovaal who is so cruel, so mistrusting he doesn’t even use normal soldiers but instead uses an army of soulless automatons that follow his every whim without question.
“A cosmos divided will not survive.”
And they’re actually proud of themselves.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Funny how he says it won’t survive, meanwhile it’s existed for how long now? Millennia? Eons? Probably longer as Some souls have been in shadowlands for eons
So how does a system that’s worked for this long suddenly become unsalvageable and needs deleted?
Zovaal’s logic is something I think only makes sense to him. I think all that time being stuck in the Maw broke his brain
Yep.
Jailor could say my brothers and sisters would not see what I see.
I’d go yeah I know. they are morons. trust me dude. I get it. I work for them. they are morons through and through. But for the low price of 100 gold per quest…I can kill your baddies.
But, you work for 25 gold for them?!
Yeah…its 2022 not 2018 dude. I want to make more money to reflect economic changes. Trust me dude, i am worth every gold coin.
And yet that was the ONLY time it happens and is never ever brought up again in SL. You would think with the Shadowlands in such peril that the Void Lords would be mounting an all out assault but there’s nothing.
Everyone is trying to destroy Azeroth because the Titan that resides within is what will destroy all realities. My theory.
Idk…
“A house divided can not stand”
I think the Jailer may be Blizzard’s Abraham Lincoln - right down to the end.
We all remember when Abe Lincoln deactivated. (too soon?)
Should have not made so many vampires mad.
When I saw Abraham lincoln: vampire hunter I went in going this is going to be soooooo bad. I left going damn…great movie, color me surprised.
Pride, predjudice and zombies…yeah lightning didn’t strike twice there lol.
Culmination of 20 years of WoW just to warn us what we already know… The Void Lords are coming.
Why not just unmake the super big problem if you’re that powerful? Don’t even need an entire army worshipping you…
They’ve got plenty of other places to invade. (And from a writing point of view, that would really stretch the story to add in another layer of conflict, when WoW already is very limited in how much story it tells at any given time. If next expansion involves the Void and Void Lords, then… well, that’s them taking advantage of things destabilizing.)
Yeah, it was straight cheese.
That narrative is of no consequence. The new narrative is Cosmo from Frazier is dividing the universe by zero
More like a Bootleg version of Sargeras.
The Jailor is the Garrison / Warfronts of Villains. Used to be tossed away … The story was executed & told so, so so poorly.
Lets be honest though, most of us are pretty sure they only came up with the Jailor’s actual ‘MoTiVe’ half way through the expansion - if even that.
I think my issue is that the jailer is way too similar to sargeras for my taste.
Jesus said it like 1800 or so years before Abraham Lincoln when the scribes were claiming that he was only able to drive out demons by the power of Beelzebub. Mark 3:23-26
“How can Satan drive out Satan? If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. And if Satan opposes himself and is divided, he cannot stand; his end has come.
