Dragon isles??
At this point, I hope whatever it is that’s coming next just wins.
Yeah the Jailer had to kill us so we didn’t die.
There’s no way, another lame name…And I thought Battle for Azeroth was bad.
But dragons and void does check out so possibly.
Well he saw the light and the void fighting each other, so remaking it was the easiest solution.
He WaS a GoOd GuY aLL a LoNg!
/sigh
is it too much to ask for a villain that we can relate to but disagree with. Someone not entirely set on say… the annihilation or enslavement of the entire cosmos. It’s… a bit much.
I don’t want to say it but I can’t resist pointing out that it is possible to write antagonists who are set on destroying the world/universe and rebuilding as also sympathetic characters. A certain other MMO managed this. xD
So it’s not really the scope of the problem that’s an issue but more in how the characters are handled.
I think the Jailer wanted cosmic unification (under him) for some vaguely referenced threat.
Sargaeras wasn’t to prevent the void lords from winning. The Jailer Supposedly wants to work with them (as a jr. partner).
Nitpick: Strictly speaking they didn’t want to destroy the entire universe or subjugate it. They just wanted to bring about calamities that might cause mass death that would restore their world. It just so happens we were in their way. (censored to avoid spoilers).
But point taken… the complete lack of world building and the complete waste of what is done in prior expansions hurts them badly.
Makes you wonder why the biggestestest threat hasn’t done anything yet.
To me, the threats ON Azeroth mean more to me than anything. The stakes feel higher because it’s where I actually live. It’s part of why I just don’t care about the SL story. To me, it’s been lame from the start. Like I get that ending the entirety of existence itself is bad, but still, it just makes me think, “Why the heck am I even here?”
If that leak isn’t real that’s a DAMN good faked logo.
Or as cunning or as interesting.
Also still alive
Yeah, it’s really well made. Kudos to the artist.
Kind of reminds me of hill house. Kill your kids to protect them from the horrors of the world.
I think it’s a George divided, not a Cosmo Cramer.
It is called unplugging the server.
To be fair, the word “death” has been rendered practically meaningless because of Shadowlands. The “pantheon of death” rules over a lot of nice, comfy places.
It’s just , no matter how danuser looks at it, a typical sargeras, thanos, predictable villain reasonings/justification for their actions.
That delusional megalomaniac trope used for villains.
so in 10.0 the big bad guy will be jailer 2.0?
