These don’t give you any gear. According to the link you provided me, it gives you either a socket or a primal chaos thing. A socket might be worthwhile if I had some good gear to use it on. But right now, the garbage gear is a better choice.
Ah, for shame, thought they went towards rerolls or something useful. Then i agree they should add something similar to that idea in the vault
So you’re saying that it is a reasonable goal for every player in the game to get glad and do +20’s while only playing a few hours a week?
How many days have you and your friend /played?
No, I’m just saying that it’s possible, and that one doesn’t have to play much to get a lot done.
I hope you never get this because no team in the world could keep up with the pace you would devour and trivialise content. We had badge gear in WotLK and I remember how much people complained about it. They felt “forced” to run Violet Hold until their eyes bled because it was the most efficient way to farm badges.
This is no different than providing valor for M+ and the only thing people complain about is the fact that valor is capped each week.
This concept is not new either, it used to exist in this game, and it currently successfully exists in other games.
What I don’t understand is why you would be against us getting a currency that allows us to purchase a needed piece of gear vs receiving the “chance” to get a needed piece of gear. Perhaps you could further enlighten me why you’d be against this concept (keep in mind that it would be capped each week because Blizzard always caps it, so you would not have to run a raid a thousand times.
Gearing is super easy in DF. My warrior is 382 and I don’t feel like I’ve put much effort into it at all. After the holidays I’m actually going to put some effort into it.
̷̧̟̭̺͕̜̦̔̏̊̍ͧ͊́̚̕͞I typically get 1 piece of loot per dungeon, probably 4 out of 5 dungeons. If you aren’t getting upgrades, you’re not doing hard enough content for your ilvl.
All content should give currency that you can spend to obtain and upgrade dungeon/raid gear, only constraint being the amount of currency you can get each week.
Not just some trash, but actual gear from instanced content.
Keep these crybaby threads coming! I was running low on seasoning salt.
If there’s 1 thing I hate so far about Dragonflight, it’s the garbage loot system
If I quit Dragonflight, that will be the reason
I’m taking it too seriously and you just wrote a seething paragraph of petulant insults.
Okay, then.
Everyone here will always stick up for garbage rng system totally ignoring the fact the op did 20 dungeons and no loot but sure everything’s fine.
Some people like the RNG chase, its what mmos are built upon.
RNG.
The vault is your item protection for the week, just because the piece you got wasn’t BiS doesn’t meant it isn’t useful in some manner.
They literally did this S4 SL, and it took you 3-4 weeks to get a piece of gear.
You’ll still complain because 3 weeks of grinding might be a tad too much for you if you’re whole point is to grind less.
I did a couple hours of pve with my friend last night. He got 3 379 BoP drops that he couldn’t even use for his warrior and I got nothing even from weekly caches. Anecdotal evidence, sure, but to say we were both frustrated is an understatement.
10 hours?
Rofl I play 2-3 hours 4 at most
This isn’t what I am talking about. If you’ll recall, Blizzard said they were going to stop this habit they have of nickeling and diming you in order to stretch out content. They could easily create a system where you get 1 piece of gear per week via a vendor. It isn’t difficult to do at all.
BTW, I would much rather grind currency knowing that I have a choice in what pieces of gear I get vs just relying on a RNG system like the vault. At the end of SL, I had all my gear socketed because of how bad their system is.
I have no clue why anyone would advocate an RNG system over one that allows you meaningful choice. But I guess to each their own.
You don’t need to play 10 hours a day for gear upgrades. You can play for 30 minutes and get gear upgrades. Don’t even need to do group content. Siege, soup, maybe a world quest here and there. Other than maybe waiting for siege or soup to start is where it might take a minute. However once they start, neither take very long and the 1st time each week is a guaranteed gear drop. Once you max that out then you’ll have to do keys or raid. I recommend keys as they can be knocked out in about 30 minutes. Some take longer because of various reasons, but most don’t take very long. Do one and you could be done for the whole week with one piece of gear upgrade plus vault.
People need to settle down. I would prefer currency for a meaningful gear choice but we don’t have it.
Bad luck with the RNG ?
I average 4 M+ per day, sometimes I don’t reach that and I’m earning one item per day on average. Whether the item is good or not is another topic entirely.
Besides I’m the only cloth in our M+ group.
The real question is:
Are you playing for fun or just to inflate a number that means nothing ?
If someone tells you otherwise look for better friends or another guild.
