Clicked Install for the PC Version in Battle.net. It downloaded 11mgs of files and says “Play”. I click play, it switches to “launching” for about 10 seconds and the goes back to “Play”.
I’ve tried all of the following things.
Scan and Repair – no change
Uninstall and Reinstall – no change
Relauch BattleNet app – no change
Relauch PC – no change
Open Task Manager to see what is running – nothing new seems to be launching
open folder in explorer. There doesn’t appear to be an executable file that I can find to launch Rumble.
Any advice would be appreciated.
EDIT: It appears to have patched itself around 2am EDT as folder went to over 6gigs and launched as soon as I hit the button.
Some other threads have pointed out that the previously 7gb game just got reduced down to like a 25mb file after a battle.net update.
The problem is on Blizzard’s end and all of us are having the same problem.
Game works fine on my phone though after I updated it, so I’m starting to think the problem is simply that they put out an update for the game and forgot to put out one for the PC version so the versions became incompatible with each other.
Just noticed this myself. I was able to play the game on pc before this most recent update. Although I was having issues with the game dcing or freezing. The last freeze I alt+f4’d and noticed an update. I let it update and now have op’s issue. After reading your post I see that my install folder also went from over 7gb’s to just 23.3MB. Great update Blizzard. lol
