Would you be angry if Reforged got delayed 2020?

Of course not. I’ve been expecting a delay for a while now. I’m far more angry that they’re rushing patches, not fixing the patches they put out, and complete and total radio silence. It’s looking more and more like the game is intended to fail, between no promotion of it at all, poor patching, and controversies which will not be discussed. I’m concerned all these factors are going to cause the game to fail and Blizzard will just abandon it while it’s in a poor state. I won’t mind having a long beta, but I will mind if there’s a 6 month long beta with all of two patches and it just launches with no launch patch or announcement.

the silence is kind of strange, as it forces people to rely on leaks, which breaks the rules. i will not post any leaks as a result. i feel nothing about it however.

Yes, I think I would be angry. I’ve prepaid expecting to receive a product and now it would be delayed and Blizzard is using my money in the mean time.

No, I would love to see Reforged today and I will replay campains at least two times for the icons but I want this game be a hit in the community.

Honestly part of the reason Blizzard is such a good company is because they don’t rush releases. Sure I would like to have it now, but I rather wait for a complete game on release.

Just depends on how much it is delayed. If it’s like, January/February, no I wouldn’t mind, even as deep as a June release. But 2nd half of the year, yeah, I wouldn’t be happy.

I doubt that would be the case, though.

Honestly, I’m already upset when they announced the date
I didn’t think they could polish the game
And if the leak is the current version, then they won’t have time for sure

so opposite, I would be glad

well, let me explain myself: i wouldn’t mind warcraft 4 if it follows the events after tft without acknowledging wow, but if warcraft 4 had to exist it’ll most likely happen after wow. (and i think you may know what most people think of wow lore)
and it’s not guaranteed that it’ll ever exist since wow doesn’t seem to be decided to die.

Personally I wouldn’t bother as long as the final result get really good as it looks like it will be, but i wouldn’t reprehend who would rise pitchforks towards blizzard or get mad and complain about it. Blizzard promised they would release it until 31/12/2019 and if they don’t people who complain have their rights.

WoW doesn’t have to die in order for WC IV to come into existence. I don’t think that’s the way things work. We’re talking about RTS/MMORPG, different games.

Milk a cow until it dies and then bring another one, then it dies, bring another one and so on? If this is really how Blizzard works then I think I’ve overestimated this company.

It seems to me that their only excuse for not making Warcraft IV is that it would take A LOT more work to bring a whole new game and campaign into existence, which explains why they’d rather make Reforged than WC IV.

okay, the last part in my reply was pretty irrelevent, i gotta say
but my point is, if wc4 came to life, i wouldn’t mind it if it follows the events after tft while handling it differently than wow did. otherwise, it would pretty much bother me.

Honestly, dont even talk about that.

I would be ok with it if they would keep us informed about what’s going on, how are they progressing etc. Instead they keep us in the dark since almost a year so if they will not release it this year, i will cancel my preorder and stick to current release.

No.

As long as it remains in active development I can wait as long as it takes. I am very impressed with the modeling work we’ve seen so far.

no, but it will be released this year
probably in late november

Actually I would.

But not as angry if a get an unfishid game that I already spent 30 dollars on without previeusly being patched and done.

So…

You’d be correct if WoW wasn’t already being treated like it was WC4. Or technically WC5 at this point given that it barely resembles the game it was when it first came out.

A Warcraft 4 would have to start from where Frozen Throne left off and tell a completely different story from the one WoW’s telling, and Blizzard likes their current story too much to do that.

The reason we don’t have a Warcraft 4 is entirely due to WoW already telling that story, not due to laziness.

I wonder if the WoW players feel the same. I am not a WoW player myself but I have a friend who it is and he isn’t very happy with the lore nowadays.

I wasn’t particularly thinking that Blizzard is lazy. I just think that Blizzard has changed as a company. To me it seems that their priorities nowadays are to make the most money in the fastest way possible, and I’m kinda seeing that happening with SC:R and WC3:R.

As to WoW being a stumbling block for Warcraft IV, I’m not sure I agree about that. Since, again, we’re talking about RTS vs MMORPG. Heck, I wouldn’t mind if Blizzard named Warcraft IV differently at all, just call it something else, and follow the story after Frozen Throne with the same characters and the same storyline and bring other new characters with another new story, completely devoid of WoW’s storyline. I’d consider Blizzard a very clever company if they’d be able to rewrite a story a different way, or many different ways.

Where is the company that created new things from scratch? It just feels like Blizzard has turned into some similar version of Valve. Of course this is just my opinion, maybe someone else doesn’t feel the same way.

I’d be ok with a Q1 release if we get a decent beta.
