I am happy we get a true to the original Warcraft 3 Reforged.
Characters like Sylvannus and Antonidus will have their own unique skins – but not retcon the story just to accomodate this.
These events happened before WoW, therefore they should not be changing those events.

I agree, I played old campaign Idk if I would have time to start new campaigns im not playing the game for them but i’d be curious with any changes that are made to match WoW not be against them. Then again im not from the ones who want to put lore from war3 in stone, as WoW is already doing that cementing the story further, so anything made based on WoW is just as legit.
And I dont mind if they increase 12 selection especially for handling mass summon units like skeletons. But perhaps not unlimited or perhaps the selection will work specially for summon to be more.
No, you really shouldn’t be? It’s called WC 3 Reforged. You’re really telling me you want to play the exact same game but with HOTS style outsourced graphics?
Warcraft 3 and TFT can be played in their original forms. They could have even made the original campaigns a toggle with the Reforged models to please that kind of crowd.

Warcraft RoC has been LOCKED to accomodate Reforged.
So the Melee Ladder I play on was sacrificed for this ‘reforged’ and it doesnt seem like it will be coming back.
Many other reasons I have wrote across multiple threads.
Warcraft 3 are PAST EVENTS. Should not be allowed to alter past events to please MMORPG players over the RTS genre players.
As I have said before – we have been playing the RTS since 2002.
Myself, every single week I hop on and play some form of Warcraft RTS.
And I plan to continue to do so with Reforged.
I will happily buy skins / etc to support this effort on Blizzards part as I plan to play for many years to come until a (maybe) Warcraft 4 releases.
Why should my opinion not matter as much as these WoW people who will play it once and go back to the next WoW expansion and not look back?

God, these brainless purists are the reason for all for the campaign troubles right now. Thanks to them the rest of us are no longer receiving the product that we paid for and very much looked forward to.

Except the MMORPG has retconned events from the WC 3 campaign. WoW is the same canon. Those campaign alterations make sense to depict them as they are in the Chronicle books.

i think you dont understand what reforged is, its a remake of the game your telling me to go back to. in fact if i did go back to it. id still be playing the same game and could 1v1 you in the old game while your playing the new one
you’re right i didn’t mention campaign or customs but for some one like my self who plays the game alot, campaign was only 1/200th of my play time and as the name implies for custom games, its what you make of it.
Translating if you don’t understand context - the game is die because very very hard. Make less hard and the game will is live. But not very easy because that is bad, too. Balance achieved must be.
Actually, incorrect. Reforged is reforged, not a remaster. Reforged is change, remaster means stability.
Other RTS players don’t play melee multiplayer. Are they not RTS players then? Newsflash: they are.
i think its a little crazy to believe that someone who didn’t develop the game knows whats best for the market but you could be right who knows for sure. i believe the exact opposite. because the game is hard it challenges you to be better and that struggle of self improvement really motivates people to play again, that was the case for me anyway

i agree! you are an RTS player how ever you play the game but at the same time i dont believe a game should focus on making the game revolve around the people who aren’t playing it all the time. so sure the sales numbers might not be the best they can be because of that, but thats not the point and when it is id probably not play it or post on these forums haha

To be fair, you should have seen it when the “retcons” were in. Completely different atmosphere back then.

The problem with supporting both sides in this is that by removing the revised campaign, this only makes one party upset. They were never removing the original campaign, and they even have a toggle so you can switch between the both.
I do not even understand why people are so against a revised campaign. Clearly (as you can see in the forums), there are quite a sizable amount that wants one. And the creation of a revised campaign doesn’t preclude the existence of the original. Literally everyone wins if they revise the campaign vs not. The original campaign is still there with all the new models, and then there’s a new one for those who want a revised campaign.
The sizable amount that wants one are only vocal now because the revisions have been scaled back from what was previously announced.
Previously there was a much much louder and more numerous amount of people telling Blizzard to either scale it back or remove it completely.
Blizzard clearly opted to scale it back.
Blizzard clearly made a huge mistake by listening to this “more numerous amount of people” (which I would like to see a poll for by the way. I was not polled on this and have my doubts about this “more numerous amount of people” that wanted these changes stopped). New campaign would not have affected them with the damn toggle and new models.
I agree with your assessment, in that because it was promised that it would happen, people did not comment about it because it was expected. Therefore, the only people that would have a problem against it would post about it, and hence now the shoe is on the other foot and people who were for the revised campaign are out in force.
Part of the reason I am posting now is because I’m hoping Blizzard can look at the forums and… Well, basically walk back their walk back. Because it clearly showed that despite making a promise, with enough people on the forum complaining about it they would just say “no” and go back on it.
They were going to make it so that the original campaign was going to stay the same for those who wanted it including ported over voice lines from the original.
There was no harm at all for offering a “Reforged Campaign” and a “Classic Campaign” for the purists.
