I was gong to go with GeForce Now, but unfortunately Warcraft 3 reforge is not supported. So, I guess our only option is parallels which is definitely not ideal.

So, I bought this BattleChest Upgrade and now I cannot even play WC3 offline anymore? I am getting the 6:9 error on my Mac and when I wait a bit longer it tells me to check my vpn connection (no vpn installed though ^-^)
Is there no QA checking if that game they sell can even launch on the Operating Systems they are selling this for? Oo

Same error on a M1 MacBook Pro
It’s a buffer layer to prevent problems like ours from reaching the VPs and board. Also it lets the fanboi community feel “attached” and “motivated.”

Same problem with my iMac 27" i7 5K
Doesn’t work on Apple M2 Pro, the same issue. I just bought the game today and this was the first message I saw after first launch. Great work, Blizzard! 
Has anyone tried it on Windows installed via Parallels?
I guess I am in the same boat - a sinking boat. That is sad, I’m an old user who just took a break for a while and came back to a dumpster fire.

So is this something that will actually be fixed or is a refund literally the only option? Seems kinda bogus for such a large company… Why release something that’s not actually working? I assume only one guy tested the game and was like “yep, works for me! sell it!” and everyone else at Blizzard took their word for it lol
This seems unlikely. Much more likely, this is a strategic failure.
The purpose is to spend less on the fail than you would have lost in investment and board confidence with a delay. Complain loudly to the Mac news outlets and the gaming outlets, then MAYBE someone who makes a decision will feel embarrassed in front of someone who holds aegis.

Reply guy has like 4K+ posts and most of these in this forum. I’m here because the game I paid for doesnt work.
But if you’re on a PC, can play the game and you’re still here posting like a mad man, bro you need to find a hobby.
Anyways, so far we have exactly 1 post from a customer service rep indirectly acknowledging the issue. So it doesnt seem like Blizzard is addressing this with all due haste.

no one tested it or do you know anyone who can actually play WC3 on macOS? I guess there was only a small bug with the launch file and one really smart guy thought he fix the problem in 5min and crossed it from his to-do list without actual testing it on a macOS PC.
Please, fix this for Mac. We want to play!
