Previously I couldn’t play WC3 as I play on a Mac which hasn’t worked for awhile. I got a notification a few minutes ago that Warcraft III had a new patch. Now it launches with an error that says “There was an error in handling the request. 6:9”. There are two buttons “Login” and “Quit”. Clicking “Login” allows me to type in my battle.net username and password, but doing so brings me back to the 6:9 error screen. I can set options on the login screen, but the “Play Offline” button is disabled.

Like wise it requested the .22365 then .22370 , now error 6:9 (also now it launches without the black screen issue which is a plus) and as you mentioned the options and internal Bnet login issue – Update just got an issue " there was an error in handleing the request. Please check your vpn" — i dont have a VPN

I have a theory. I think there is literally one person working on the mac issue, and they are probably not even primarily a warcraft dev. Likely, Blizzard pulled some poor DevOps intern and tasked them with fixing the issue, communicating with community, and writing up press release

I got this same issue. At least it launches and the screen isn’t black? Fred is making progress, however slow… Hopefully tomorrow we can finally play. I can’t wait to absolutely obliterate some noobs in Legion TD

Aw lord… I’ve been waiting for months to get this Mac launch issue fixed and now after the update this Error 6:9 keeps popping up and is making it even more outrageous… at least fix the issue… I’ve got my hopes up for nothing…

OMG, I am not alone - this makes me happy and sad at the same time. I miss this game :frowning: So sad, the person working on this issue is probably on holiday for the rest of 2024
