Please do not change the original Lore!

Mephistroth when you go stove shopping, do you prefer lower heat over a larger surface area or higher heat in a smaller radius?

We’ll see. We are actually arguing about something we are not 100% sure of right now.

I don’t get the Mortal Kombat reference, I’ve never played it.
But hey, why not having a brand new WoW, starting all over from the events of TFT and avoiding all previous development and lore mistakes? It might sound weird after 15 years of WoW, but I’d like it

Gotta love all this random gibberish you’re spewing. Care to speak like a normal human being?

Of course you are not alone. Just like other opinions.
When I say there are some inevitable things, I mean, like it or not, a Warcraft tradition is not the same as 20 years ago.

If we ignore the changes that currently exist in the literature, it would be an insult to all of us who play Warcraft. It is to say that the retcons that they have made are no longer worth it. It would be a retcon retcon!

I think the current tradition is already very confusing, we do not need one more. Uniformity, a universal line to tell a story is what I think we need.
Who will play Reforged and play WoW will find a mess: Illidan invaded was the Black Citadel and not the Temple of Karabor?

Mortal Kombat story got really goofy and absurd through the 3D era with their last game in the PS2/Xbox/Gamecube generation winding up with an actual world/reality-ending event.

So when the next game came out for the next generation, Mortal Kombat 9, they pick up at the end of the previous game, second last surviving character sends a prophecy back in time to himself, and from there it’s the timeline and storyline from the very first game moving forward. Just with lots of different stuff happening and this is the new canon.

It really would be interesting to see Warcraft do something like that just to see what they would go back and more radically change.

Says the guy that goes off on wicked tubular tirades about Sylvanas and Rhonin, okay chief.

Thanks!
Yeah it would be really nice to see that with Warcraft. A new WoW, or Warcraft 4, picking up where TFT left off and forging a new canon. That would solve (almost) all our retcon problems. A man can dream, right?

The other option would be a soft retcon or something in the way of “shhh don’t say anything” sweeping under the rug via a timeskip of 20 or 30 years in-universe. Just not mention too much stuff from earlier and instead focus on what’s new to discover and what story beats get the wheel turning.

Well they can continue WOW to keep faithful to WOW’s fans and continue Warcraft without changing the lore and taking it into a new direction to keep it faithful to Warcraft’s fans.

What’s insulting is that they are forcing us Warcraft fans to care about WOW and they’re changing the lore to try and make us accept it.

Red shirt guy would destroy Blizzard if they did that. In fact, Red Shirt Guy is proof of how bad Blizzard are at managing their lore and why I wouldn’t trust any changes made by them.

They aren’t forcing anyone to do anything. Stop putting your hand back on the hot stove, Mephistroth. Your friends and family are worried about you.

The same applies to Reforged, which may have the option of playing an old school with new graphics.

Whether you like it or not, some things in War3 are wrong from the current point of view.

They can’t force us to do anything but they will most certainly try to… and they are trying to.

World Of Warcraft is what is wrong, not Warcraft 3.

I can’t believe Robert Bridenbecker is going to take your family hostage until there’s a Warcraft 3: Reforged license purchased and added to your account.

Robert Kotick would… if he could get away with it… and there was money in it for him.

sorry my bad dude

If he could find a way to blackmail us to buy his games and give him money, he would.

so anyways the point is either buy Reforged or don’t, it’s not that complex an issue

Let reforged defile the lore? I think not. You think this is simple but it isn’t. I want this series to get better, not worse.

“I don’t like your work, I will not support it” will suffice.

What about I did like your work and I want to to leave thing alone before you mess up your old work?
