This ‘update’ of MM is completly useless - AT still does not have its own mmr. Moreover it even does not effect rt mmr, and you get matched with rt teams -thats makes 0 sense… For god’s sake pad is going to implement 2n2 in w3champions soon… All ‘pro’ players in 1n1 allready switched to w3 champions.
Blizzard if you want to stop the splitting of the community through thrid party programs and ladders, you have to do better and faster then what you did till now…
Why should they add this now?
We asked for it like… mmm… for the last 15 years?
Can’t you give them 15 more years at least to adapt to something that almost all the other games have by default?
Then in 2035 we can ask for “whisper to channel” and get it in 2050.
A company as big as Activision Blizzare prepared to work at home, with the first day of Covid 19 in China, if they don’t do that before it come in the US or other country. Their boss should be fired.
MMR is the ladder, it is the determining factor for your placement on the ladder without it… There is no ladder (well other than win-lose, but that’s a horrible way to do a ladder).
It’s just not in a neat UI with a pretty button you can press so you can see your placement.
Actually MMR is often a hidden value that’s seperate from the ranking/competitive system- League of legends for example does this- your league standing is only loosely related to your MMR- but for example if you are in a high league tier for your MMR, you will lose more LP and gain less until your MMR catches up, or until you fall back to where the system thinks you should be for your record. Part of the reason for th at system is so the leauges can favor the sense of making progress, while still keeping the matching based on a rating statistic.
(convoluted I know but league isn’t the only game that does something like this)
I know :), but this is Blizzard - not Riot xD.
Blizzard ladders exclusively work off MMR or SR ( MMR for HotS, SC2 and WC3:R and SR for OverWatch - regardless their working principal is the same).
You place in certain brackets (bronze --> grand master) which requires certain amount of MMR/SR per bracket. I expect the Blizzard Ladder in WC3:R to work off the same principal.
There may be a top 100 list, at best a top 500 list and if we are very lucky - a proper ladder system as in SC2 that has both brackets, divisions and a UI to tell you in which division and bracket you are in and your placement in that bracket/division. (A bracket can have several division - it’s to cope with the large amount of SC2 players or at least were).
hi guys, any idea what is the current MMR cap for solo / 2vs2 rt ?
I play mostly 2vs2 rt games and i got 5810 MRR - i get literally 1point for wininng, no matter if the enemy was good or bad or how much time did it take to finish the game. I know this is not the cap limit, since i got 6k in solo.
Please share some guidance, i have no idea where to seek the answers for this.
Well, they said that 5k was average, so I’m going with 10k?
You are getting low amount of points because you’re fighting scrubs with much less MMR I suspect (that or it’s broken - wouldn’t be surprising xD).
i don’t think that is the case, since in old 0 to 3k system i was around 2400-2500MMR solo, so rougly 80%, not 60% - and it’s a huge difference skillwise.
I am hoping someone who reached the top limit can post here his value
Noone decent plays on the regular ‘ladder’ anymore, it’s a pathetic, miserable experience coded by what are probaly the most incompetent devs I’ve ever seen in my life. You won’t get an answer to your question.
never heard of this “pads ladder” but it certainly doesn’t sound like something I want to participate in. Considering how badly I get crushed in what few matchmaking games i’ve played, I didn’t know MMR was a thing at all. I figured the matching was totally random and thus because the bulk of active RTS players are far more experienced than I, the outcome was inevitable.
