Which is like assuming anyone who wishes there were less mass shootings in the world means they reject the use of guns.
It’s a false equivalence fallacy.
False equivalence is a logical fallacy in which two completely opposing arguments appear to be logically equivalent when in fact they are not. This fallacy is categorized as a fallacy of inconsistency.
Wanting WC3 lore to be more consistent with WoW lore does not equate to a rejection of a pure WC3 remake.
I would have liked if SC:R added unique designs for Stukov, Duran and Raszagal, but it doesn’t mean I would have rejected SC:R without those additions.
It does because here we have all the people asking EVEN FOR MORE retcons while poor souls try to make Blizzard change their mind about it and also got attacks from so called Egg team.
You may know him personally, I don’t and he is on a next level to be honest not like a WoW player or something, just a Blizzard paid troll but his ‘team’ on the other hand are WoW kiddies.
His comment can be that opinion. But how do you know he is a ‘WoW kiddy’ and not an oldschool WC3 player?
You don’t give him enough credit to even begin a proper conversation with him. You dehumanize him as a ‘WoW kiddy’ based on that single statement, because it makes it easier for you to accept how anyone could have a positive opinion of a game you despise. But the truth is simple if you just open your eyes and look.
I don’t even know Adunai that well and I can tell you he’s more likely a WC3 veteran who grew up with the game more than he is a ‘WoW kiddy’ who has never played-and-openly rejects WC3.
As I said he is just the second in charge of egg team, there are more ‘newcomers’ that openly says they are from WoW and wants Reforged to be simply WoW RTS
For those 2 weeks though wouldn’t they be a Warcraft 3 player? They would be playing that game, after all.
He doesn’t.
I’ve been playing Blizzard games since Warcraft: Orcs & Humans. I know I’ve said this before and I still love how much you still think I’m paid by Blizzard or an employee or an agent or whatever the story of the day is.
Despite me leveling more than a few critiques at Blizzard, whether it’s their business practices or game design. Though for whatever reason I know people that vehemently dislike me enjoy discrediting my own negative/critical opinions on Blizzard because of their own personal reasons that are a stretch.
And that is caused by Blizzard deciding to pander to them.
Like I said, Blizzard could have taken the approach of SC:R and not touch WC3 at all. It was their decision to pander to WoW players by changing the story (whether they asked for it or not).
Keep in mind, the ‘cancer’ that you’re talking about was created by Blizzard through their development of WoW. WoW’s lore is also Blizzards doing, not the fans.
