Illidan should have his Wc3 look that is for sure it was way more unique in last cinematic and ingame than what he looks currently in wow
…I have no words.
Hello there, let me introduce you to a Blood Elf: xhttps://wow.gamepedia.com/Blood_elf
(As always, remove the x)
It’s still no excuse to make even more inconsistencies.
Blood elves used to be high elves. High elves had blue eyes, their eyes turned green only when the Sunwell was destroyed and they had to rely on outside magic source.
And the second part of the Sin’dorei campaign in TFT is spent after accepting Illidan’s offer. I eagerly support the green eyes on blood elven units.
Blood elves are not part of the alliance, so they should not be in the skirmish as part of the humans… If they green tint is out in Kael’s eyes after he’s contact with fel magic and syphoning I got not problem with that
It is simple… lovely new HD renditions of the heroes we all love and want to play as… that would be the best option. Wouldn’t you all miss the staple looks of each character if they were changed?
The youthful student look of original Jaina’s outfit.
Grommash being slender with jaw covered in scrub and tattoo.
Maiev’s green lipstick in her original W3 helmet.
All of this I remember fondly, all of this I’d like to see.
Jaina’s outfit is the same except for a bit more purple, more team colour spots, an upgraded staff, and second shoulder keeping her cloak back.
Grom’s unit model in Warcraft 3 has about the same proportions as a grunt. His shoulders are just a bit narrower and his arms aren’t as thick.
Also someone please explain this creepy hyper fixation about Maiev’s lips to me. Or don’t explain it to me. I’m fine either way, lmao.
I can’t same something is the same and then refer to 20 exceptions… The outfit is totally different… Let’s lead with that… And it might be cool I never said the opposite… Wow designs have always been cool
Ah yes, hyperbole. I can condense the ‘exceptions’ down more if you want. They’re adding colour, defining her staff more, and changed her cloak. Alright we knocked it down from 4 to 3, let’s go home boys.
Yeah I do resort to exaggeration alot to make my points, my apologies, but my point was, even one excepting… Changes something and makes it different…
If we go to Jaina I’d sumarize
*she using two shoulders instead of one
*hairstyle is different
*staff is diffrrent
*the cloak is different, now is split in two, instead of a big one covering half her body
*she passed from a white shirt … To a heavy plate chest piece
*she uses long sleeves, instead of short ones…
*she doesn’t have those plate pieces on her knees
*she uses black gloves, in the new one she’s bare hands
So that’s 8 just out of the top of my mind…
I’m not saying all changes are bad, some are welcomes… If they didn’t touch the cloak and runes… Which is her basic shape during warcraft 3…i don’t think i personally would care for other changes… Excepting the plate armor she’s wearing… She’s supposed to be an apprentice… She shouldnt have end raid armor.
You might think I hate wow or something… And that’s not the case… I just want the two games to remain distinctive…
Do u really want to see all the characters wearing the same stuff from wow?
Like they had no evolution or development?
This is not Jaina the one capable or making a ship fly and shoot arcane canons… This is Jaina the one that hates to resort to violence and only wishes to study… Why is she so heavily armored?.
It doesn’t make sense from the perspective of that character during that time in the history of warcraft
The runes aren’t a part of her shape or silhouette, the cloak itself is. The cloak is the most “dramatic” change and even then she’s still recognizably Jaina, although I do slightly prefer the original aspect of it being a broader piece that’s slung over one shoulder. Her design has some more flourish but she’s certainly not going to be as maximum overwizard Gandalf the White like the Archmage might be.
Well you’ve dodged one bullet so far, one’s an RTS and the other’s an MMORPG.
No and yes? I would have no problem (save for some obvious rollbacks like Illidan in Reign of Chaos not looking like post-consuming Skull of Gul’dan Illidan from Frozen Throne or if Tyrande was Night Warrior’d up like she’s going to be in Battle For Azeroth) seeing a unified/classic/iconic look.
One more shoulder pad and a skimpy piece of pseudo half-plate does not a heavy armour make.
Did I just start using the Reforged forums seriously at the wrong time or is it safe to assuming people were making a big initial stink too about Uther and Arthas?
What is her actual chest piece in the demo made of? Aluminum?..
Metal has a thing, by its silhouette you can realize how thick it is, and if u pay attention to the model, is not a light metal piece she’s using, whatever she’s using is very thick.
If you don’t care why does it bother you if they stay the same as in warcraft 3?
I don’t particularly care about Arthas his shape remains the same, and his face resembles alot that one used as the game cover during war3
For change: Because I like a unified look and identity to the Warcraft series.
Against change: I’m not really against it but it’d be no loss either.
Boss answer: Heroes of the Storm nailed Jaina’s look in balancing a ‘classic’ appearance and adding the right amount of flourish and I’m okay that Reforged took notes from that.
so you would tell me if I look a picture of you 16 years ago,you were using the same shirt you are using now?.
diferent clothing doesnt make the games not unified…only adds depth and realism to the characters…
if u claim u want an unified look, what is your opinion of new jaina model in wow? which btw during the cinematic of daughter of the sea, shes using the iconic cloak of warcraft 3.
is the shirt cute
it’s neat that her character in the current mode of Warcraft progression, the game World of Warcraft, is progressing? like what’s this question
It’s a different conversation if you’re talking about forward-moving rather than improving on an obviously improvable thing in the past.
alright, like u said wow is progressing and evolving, having warcraft 3 an improbable thing of the past, remaining with the same clothing would only make it more obvious how much wow has evolve…
btw if u want an unified look, then i think wow classic should have all leaders models changed to add into the consistency, cause is not consistent in the case of jaina that she would be wearing plate, then all cloth in vanilla,to once again all plate during her flashbacks during wrath of the lich king and siege of ogrimar,to once again all cloth…
all quests in wow classic that contradict actual lore should also be removed or changed to better fit the new lore.
You’re putting words into my mouth here, champ. I’m saying Warcraft is progressing and evolving. World of Warcraft is the current/primary medium for it.
then by all means my man, make a Warcraft 4…and save yourself from pissing a lot of fans from the Warcraft 3 series…
this is not supposed to be about evolving…they are remaking a game from the past…so is not about evolving of the franchise
is preserving the franchise
- Warcraft 3 isn’t a series, it’s a part of one.
- Exactly. They’re remaking it. Not remastering it. So they’re going to take liberties they feel suit the franchise and entry in it best.
- I don’t need saving because I’m a fan of all of Blizzard’s IPs, I appreciate your concern for my well-being though.
- series definition = a range of products sharing features of design or assembly and marketed with a separate number from other lines.
so warcraft 3 and warcraft 3 the frozen throne are part of the same series…
while world of warcraft and its expansions are from a different series…
YES,all of the same franchise i get your point.
-I said a lot of fans ,that means many, you are a fan of the IP, you are not the only one. and that decision they made is not pleasing a lot of us,and that u cant refute…is a fact not an opinion…just go into the forums and watch how many complain over the same stuff.
