Nelfs in WC3 had far better voices in WoW ones.
Belfs aswell.
I really liked Jaina, Sylvanas (when she was a Helf), especially Maiev’s voice- pre-batman voice that is 
, and Illidan original voices in WC3 rather than WoW ones.
Not sure if Arthas’s voice was the same in WoW?
Then there was many actors who joined the WoW to recast their characters too of course, like Kael’thas, Lady Vashj, Tyrande, Malfurion etc , which I also like.
But overall I think WC3 voices outrun WoW voices, imo.

Well apparently those scenes were already done in 1080p even back then and were scaled back to fit. Now however they will be restored to their high resolution and should look better than before by default.
Yes! And this is a huge problem. I got the german version of the Beta and I already HAVE new voices. Is the english version now the onlyone that won’t get new voices? Because I can’t find nothing about the new english voicelines (instead of those units who were just added like the female DK)
But if they do anyways… they can expand the story to make their promise become true. The original idea seemed to be an option in the campaign screen, where you are able to select what you want to play: the classic campaign with improved visuals/graphic and stuff, oooor the wunderful, amazing, expanded story with many new elements, new characters, levels, new (WoW) voices, and much much more…
It could have been so great… sadly…
But I wonder… ‘we hered you, community’…
Did this really happen because some people said, that a crap idea?
I was not there to defend this idea. I thought: they announced it, so they do it, nothing to be worried about…
And a year of silence later: ‘Hey guys… we cancel this nice idea (and some other things), to recreate a thing we createt already years before.’
Or maybe it’s really a matter of time and unable to finish it until deadline.
But I think I would be more than okay, if they only release the multiplayer stuff and later adding the campaign, one after an other. Or they delay the complete game for 3-6-12 month is nessesary. If that really was the problem Blizzard… then take the time you need to finish the game as it was meant to be. And implement the options for a ‘classic’ campaign and ‘reforged’ campaign with new voicelines and extended speech of our heroes.

i am pretty sure they are gonna remake the characters in the cinematics to align with the new models. Just like how the intro cinematic has been remade with updated grunt model and infernal with 1080p. Aside from that there should be no changes since they are already perfect. At this day and age i don’t think they can get away with just restoring the original video quality. Even i couldn’t tell half the time in those orc cinematics if it was grom or thrall i am looking at

I was so looking forward to this game!
Rarely have I played a game that I had so much fun and now I read this “cheeky” news that various contents have been deleted …
I’m just really sad.
But why were the things canceled? Is the demand for strategy games so low? Is Activision guilty? What happened? And why are customers being lied to?
Blizzard think again, the big fans here will be able to wait a few months, but deliver a great game and not as a dog pile as new skins and that’s it! We love Warcraft and we want to enjoy a nice new experience!

Yeah I know. But I like her voice sooooo much more before she had her throat surgery, which is nothing against her. I am glad she is still casting her voice as Maiev.
No. It was confirmed a long time ago that the cinematics, with the exception of the opening video and the Arthas vs Illidan fight, were going to remain virtually untouched. They have the original renders which were done at 1080p and scaled down to fit, but now those will be restored to 1080 and that is it.

So how are the new players going to recognize who is who in the cinematics? They already have a Grom model similar to how he looks in the Warlords of Draenor cinematic. If they really just restore it to 1080p am just wondering how people are going to react to that after such a long time.

ever since activision started getting more and more involved with blizzard games things have been going to crap. At first they still had their creative freedom, now they are just profit engines like the rest of activisions crap games.

That would be so great to see them deliver what they promised, if they do, I would re-purchase the game. But we both know that they won’t unless enough people voices their opinion (even though it is naive to think that now)

The graphics of 2018 is missing! This beta looks like the old Warcraft 3 with updated models and houses, this look really a reskin with strange and so much weaker/old graphics. We hope the previous graphics of blizzcon2018 back! <3 Or make a option to have them when play.

I agree. I whas looking forward seeing what WC III would look like if the tried to fit into the whole Warcraft Universe better now that they have foothold on how exactly it should look like.

I would have had no problems if they would only release now Prologue and Humand campaign and do the rest one buy one with good work every 3 months so that we have in two years finally an awesome campaign worth for Warcraft III.
The game is already comming after Classic. This deleymant is not really anything if it get now done good.
if you start the beta, do you still have the old voices?
The fact of the matter is that the price they are charging doesn’t correspond to what they are actually doing. 30 euros for base edition is not a price I’m willing to pay for “upgraded” graphics. I don’t like being forced onto modern bnet either and have my ui destroyed and my chat window retooled to some sc2 clone.
I am not buying. Anyone else is free to do so. I expected campaign changes, graphics, and more for that price point. They should of added a discount for classic owners.
