Since the patch, some units just appear as green circles (and are untargetable slash "box"able). Currently on Tomb of Sargeras, Naisha and the Hydra are the invisible units I have found so far.
Yeah it’s been almost a week and they have yet to even comment they know about it…
Given how long Mac users were having issues just logging in…
I’m not holding out hope its getting fixed soon
I’m playing the classic version and I have the same issue with some invisible units and mobs in campaign, it was manageable during the main campaign but in bonus “The Founding of Durotar” is worse, all the quest givers in Orgrimmar are invisible, most of the mobs on the map also are. I tried repairing and fully reinstalling the game, no change.
bro comment everywhere but blizzard just don’t care .I guess blizzard deleted some key function which old maps used to references so it causes serious transparent question. Now the only way is back to version 1.36 or keep waiting
Keeping this thread open. I played through the whole campaign to get to founding of durotar, would love to see this fixed for the campaign
Confirmed that this not just occur in campaign but also normal melee (after loading a save, seems creep-only).
I reinstalled Warcraft 3 about 2-3 weeks ago to play the classic campaign and this has been a persistent problem in almost every campaign map I’ve played. It’s incredibly frustrating to not be able to target or see invisible units in the campaign levels.
As off 2.0.1.22474, its still bugged, simply saving/reloading any game will make half the portraits disappear and some units become untargetable “shadows” in classic mode. Also finishing a campaign mission won’t unlock the next in the menu, learned that the hard way after a long mission without saving and then quitting.
In version 2.0.1.22479 still the same
2024-12-26 version 2.0.1.22498, Undead Mission 4 (Reforged).
Two of the Moonkeys are invisible, and cannot be equipped in my hero’s inventory (though through some difficulty can be selected). Therefore I seemingly cannot access the rest of the campaign. I’ve reloaded the mission, restarted the game, and restarted my computer, and done a scan and repair.
What an absolute god damn joke of a company.
An issue is still there!
Played through all of the Frozen Throne campaign this Christmas break December 2024, bug is still present as of version 2.0.1.22498.
When loading a save, certain units become invisible both during normal gameplay and during cutscenes. They can’t directly be clicked but can still be attacked by the AI. If you have them in a control group before you save, you can still target them. Seems to effect summoned and creep units more (i.e. Anubarak’s beetles). If killed and respawned/resummoned, the new unit is visible again until saving/reloading (in which case they once again become invisible). Restarting the mission also fixes the problem until saving/reloading (making it hard if you rely on save scumming like me).
The main campaign is annoying but manageable under these circumstances, however the Bonus Rexxar campaign is nigh-unplayable since the quest givers are affected.
Dear WC3 maintenance team,
I only noticed this bug happening to me once I got to Terror of the Tides, specifically Balancing the Scales. Tyrande became invisible and unclickable after I loaded a save in the level. This has occurred in every single level (with various creeps, Magroth, and always Tyrande) since then, up to A Dark Covenant, in which the Dragonhawk Riders have become invisible and unclickable shadows, rendering the Mission Impossible (haha) for me to complete.
Usually, when the game stops displaying life bars and won’t accept hotkeys, quitting to desktop fixes it. As others have already noted, there’s nothing actionable on player’s end to fix the invisible/unclickable error. Please help us.
I also suffer from this problem and can’t continue Rexxar campaign.
Same here. It’s pretty much impossible to finish the rexxar campaign because of this.
Same here. I was annoyed by the random enemies that were invisible & uncickable, but you could at least work around it. When it does so with Tyrande (as you said, she starts out find, but load a save & it happens to her every time) it makes the game unplayable. Apparently this happens a lot & tech support needs to do something about it. The low tech version of the game never had weird issues like this.
Same issue here when loading in a save file. A bug like this should not have been left for this long. Blizzard please fix it asap
Going to join the chorus here, I also noticed the same issue. It happens in regular campaigns, melee, custom games, everywhere!
As everyone said, it’s usually after loading a game, but then it still happens in new games.
