Well they are failing miserably at it, and probably won’t get too much extra cash. If anything they are damaging the brand. It’s actually hilarious. I guess it does create hype though at least.
You realize the they were asking for no new voiceovers too. The “complaints” theory has been disproven.
I’m not saying you should play it the new way, I was actually asking why it should be that way instead of random, and tried to answer myself by saying you may like certain designs better. Personally I don’t find issue with it being random models matching unit names.
I also played the original game, and am excited for multiple model variants as that can be really cool. Don’t play it if they don’t let you pick and that really upsets you so much. I would be fine with randomly getting the female DK because as I said, its cool.
Who are they? If you are talking about the people who complained about the new dialog, that they also complained about new voice overs I know that. I like the old voices, but think new dialog would need new voices and would be okay with that because it could add to the product.
The reason why it should be selectable is because it allows for me to play the game. It also allows for other people who only want to use the male or female version to do that. Random is just stupid. Let’s say you have two people, one of them only like red m and ms and the other only likes blue ones. Would you open up a store that randomly gives them a red or blue one or sell each separately? This is pretty basic stuff.

Well I was asking why a single model is a make or break situation for a game I assume you love, the original at least. That is why I tried to surmise its because you like the old model more and want to see that reforged.
As I believe it gives you a random name like in the original WC3 and each name has a unique model which you wouldn’t be stuck with the female from game to game, but as I understand you that random factor is a breaking point. Which is what I don’t understand, sure it would be nice to pick your favorite design, but that making a game unplayable without is sounds silly.
The argument is about the OP being stuck with the female model when they don’t want it when gender was supposed to be a player-selected option.
Nothing at all to do with equality or “evening the score” or whatever you’re going on about. The OP just wants a male DK.

I have heard the hero “skins”/gender will be optional.
I actually like the female DK, love her design and her voice sounds good too, looking forward to see more male/female counterparts of other heroes and units.
It’s refreshing and fun, imo.

This is bonkers. I don’t even know the name of my heroes half the time because i don’t care about a stupid name. What they look like is very different. Coming from the other side of the isle(The side that doesn’t want a male DK) i agree with him, i don’t want random heroes.

One the thread title very clearly indicates the opposite and is meant to reflect and counter the many threads complaining about the fem DK.
I also didn’t mention any “evening the score”.
I mentioned how this sort of thing coming at the “cost of” is undesirable.
But I guess nuance can’t exist on the internet.
