Hello everyone (and hopefully Blizzard)!

I grew up on Warcraft 3 custom games, they were some of my fondest memories as a kid. The custom games in WC3 were so good that I actually go back and play them to this day over playing things like WoW, Hearthstone, and League of Legends. If Blizzard is reading this and could give some assurance that we will have the same level of modding we had in the original game, that would be the best news I heard all week. Even if there is no reply, here’s to hoping that the mods were half of what Warcraft 3 originally had.

I’m hyped though! I have faith that Blizzard understands the importance of the mod system in the original game translating over to the new one if they hope to preserve or reignite the community who originally played.

bring back custom games!!

Reforged uses the same engine as the original wc3 and they are doing their best to make the old custom games compatible with reforged. World editor will be the same with some improvements so you don’t have to worry about a lack of great custom games. There are however some issues that comes with better graphics and there’s also some major issues with the old editor that I hope they will address. I already listed some of these things in my thread: Thoughts about wc3 changes

I’d expect that the custom games that will take most punishment from reforged are the more ambitious ones that uses custom scripts, models, textures etc.
