Purple War on Steam (I wasn’t able to share a link)

I found this game on Steam and it looks pretty much the same as Warcraft III so I wanted to report it. I don’t know if this is legal or not but it is better that you know about it.

Having tried it, my opinion of the demo is that the game very much feels like the epitome of Early Access.

Hopefully the devs will actually finish it instead of leaving it in development hell but no, currently the game doesn’t fulfill that special spot, you know?
They Are Billions was one of the ones that really got me going, but even that felt like it was missing something.

EDIT: As much as it pains me to say it, even current day Reforged is better than Purple War as it stands at the moment.

Has nothing to do with WCIII except similar artstyle, and even that is similar, not identical. Please check your eyes and stop being a corporate shill and a snitch.

I’d trade that bug for the whole bnet 2 anytime.

I bet that if it was called Warpurple their lawyers would have already sent a swarm of letters… but swapping the words did the trick and fooled them. Well… if only…

before reporting it, have you checked if the core features of the games correspond?
do their chicken leave footprints?
if not, you cannot even argue that they are similar…

I am going to try it, but I think its not fun if the random victory / loss feature is missing. This was just the right amount of randomness needed motivating me to use the ladder!

I also agree with WinterDryad: This game looks so different… No chicken footprints, no? Also only 3GB size… Can’t be a WC3 copy if it is so small…
