Im getting the same issue trying to download Warcraft III onto mac. Keep getting Failed - network error when using chrome browser. When I use safari, I get “decompression failure”. I have tried using a VPN client and all the steps proposed by Drakuloth without success.
If you download the battle.net application installer instead of the Warcraft III installer, does that work? You can install Warcraft III from the Battle.net Application instead.
