Hey there Brian,
I was checking the DxDiag and found this error:
+++ WER6 +++:
Fault bucket 1248487708391912754, type 5
Event Name: BEX64
Response: Not available
Cab Id: 0
Problem signature:
P1: NVDisplay.Container.exe
Since this is related to the video drivers we’ll want to try and use DDU to uninstall all traces of the Nvidia software, then download a fresh copy of drivers from their website.
hey Kaldraydis
i got the same problem have had it since launch black screen with cursor and audio have tried alot of things updated all windows and amd softwares, please if you could help me.

Did exactly as you said, still is not working, here is the updated dxdiag.

Same problem here
You must have a laptop, right?
nvidia control panel (not nvidia GeForce experience) > manage 3D settings > global settings > select default graphics processor: high performance NVIDIA processor > apply.
Or do it with this app:
\Warcraft III\x86_64\BlizzardBrowser\BlizzardBrowser.exe
BlizzardBrowser.exe runs with integrated video card and this is problem.

Brian4596,
If just doing the reinstall of the drivers didn’t fix it, something else is probably causing that Nvidia Display container to lock up. can you reset the game settings too? Maybe one of them was conflicting with an old setting. If that doesn’t work, let’s try closing background applications and uninstalling security programs temporarily. (You can turn them back on later if it works, just contact the software’s support team if the problem comes back when you bring them back.)
The last thing I’d be worried about would be an account permission issue. Let’s check a new admin account and see how it goes there.
So, I did as you said, and i posted a new pastbin with the new updated data. I do not have any security program other than windows defender. What is the proper way to reset the game settings? I can run the game in safe mode and TRY to see if that works. New admin you think would do it?
Can you please check the dxdiag: iy6FRLL7
I’m having this issue on a big gaming PC, driving me insane
Brian4596,
Let’s go ahead and test on the new admin in case it’s a driver permission error. Apart from that, I’m not really seeing anything else in your DXDiag that would explain this. If the new admin doesn’t work, I’d contact our support team and link them to this thread so they know what you already tried.
this morning it did not work. I tried the admin thing, did not work. But then when i restart my computer and opened battle.net again, it prompted an update of ~ 2gb, and after the updated completed, it now works on both administrator profiles. It looks like what ever that update was, it fixed the issue. Thank you. Let’s see how the game plays now, thank you!
Okay, sounds like it may have been related to one of the bugs we patched today. Let me know if it comes back, but otherwise, happy gaming!
