Being brainless fan of old lore is stupid

“Why some Orcs are good, and others are bad?” - That was a question even in Movie
“Why Uther didn’t help or didn’t stop Arthas?” - Still a discussion to this day
“What was beetwen Kael and Jaina?”
“Why did Sargeras have his own tomb? Is he dead? And why he’s on Azeroth?”
“Why is Sylvanas suddenly an Elf and not a Banshee?”

In the game most/all the evil orcs serve demons and the others are very shamanistic with their leader being kind of anti-conflict.

Their personal relationship mostly implicate that’s what prevented Uther from immediately raising a hand or physically confronting him. Uther didn’t help Arthas because he didn’t see it as the only possible solution.

Do we really need this explanation? What does it add?

If only game mechanics were present such as the spellcasting Banshee unit having the unique skill Possession where the players themselves can possibly fill in the blanks between Point A and Point B in terms of how a Banshee came into possession of an elven body.

A bit more motivation to Kael and one more step for him to be driven by Vengence

I’m sorry, more motivation than his homeland being ravaged by the Scourge and putting his people on the endangered species list? Really?

His homeland is in ruins, his people are sick, his father is killed - And his Love choose the person he hated the most. She slept with someone who ruined his life

Please go take a writing or story development class I’m begging you.

If Kael was written that way in the campaign, I would have pitied him instead of root for him as I did in the original campaign.

The campaign was focused on him moving forward with his people, not brood on the past. Their change to Blood Elves was emblematic of this - they are forged from the blood their people.

The campaign did that very well. Why would you suddenly want more exposition for what is already clear? We don’t need to see Kael talk about his daddy issues and get emo over how much of a beta he was. Theres more important matters at hand.

This is actually one of the biggest problems with current WoW storytelling. Instead of nuanced characters, we have to be given 5+ reasons why Garrosh is bad guy or Sylvanas is bad guy instead of just being a character motivated by one clear goal taken too far to an extreme. Like BFA, its already good enough to have Sylvanas be the bad guy for destroying Teldrassil for wanting to end the war for the sake of Horde safety - but then they go and make her do other terrible things that are dishonorable and against the Horde values like try to assassinate Thrall, siding with Aszhara, killing Saurfang dishonourably and more.

There is really no need to delve on secondary motivations other than the one presented in WCIII.

Kael’thas :“Consider this payment for Quel’Thalas… And other insults”

Enough said. If Kael would start crying about Arthas stealing his girl in that scene it would be anticlimatic and funny.

Quel’Thalas.

Jaina thought she might be sick. She had been here in Dalaran when word had come, from a handful of survivors who had managed to escape, about what had happened to Quel’Thalas. So too had been the quel’dorei prince. She had never seen Kael’thas so-so angry, so shattered, so raw. She had gone to him, words of compa.s.sion and comfort on her lips, but he whirled and gazed at her with such a look of fury that she instinctively drew back.

“Say nothing,” Kael had snarled. His fists clenched; she could see, to her shock, that he was barely restraining himself from physically harming her. “Foolish girl. This This is the monster you would take to your bed?” is the monster you would take to your bed?"

Jaina blinked, stunned at the crudeness of the words coming from one so cultured. “I-”

But he was not interested in hearing anything she had to say. “Arthas is a butcher! He has slaughtered thousands of innocent people! There is so much blood on his hands that a whole ocean could never wash them clean. And you loved loved him? Chose him over me?”

His voice, normally so mellifluous and controlled, cracked on the last word. Jaina felt quick tears come to her eyes as she suddenly understood. He was attacking her because he could not attack his real enemy. He felt helpless, impotent, and was striking out at the nearest target-at her, Jaina Proudmoore, whose love he had wanted and failed to win.
“Oh…Kael’thas,” she said softly, “he has done…terrible things,” she began. “What your people have suffered-”

“You know nothing of suffering!” he cried. “You are a child, with a child’s mind and a child’s heart. A heart that you would give to that-that-he slaughtered them, Jaina. And then he raised their corpses corpses!”

Jaina stared at him mutely, his words having no sting now that she knew the reason for them. “He murdered my father, Jaina, just as he murdered his own. I-I should have been there.”

“To die with him? With the rest of your people? What good would throwing your life away do for-”

No sooner had the words left her lips than she realized that it was the wrong thing to say. Kael’thas tensed and cut her off sharply.

“I could have stopped him. I should have.” He straightened, and coldness suddenly chased away the fire in him. He bowed low, exaggeratedly. “I will be departing Dalaran as soon as possible. There is nothing for me here.” Jaina winced at the emptiness, the resignation in his voice. “I was a fool of the greatest order to ever think any of you humans could aid me. I will leave this place of doddering old magi and ambitious young ones. None of you can help. My people need me to lead now that my father-”

He fell silent and swallowed hard. “I must go to them. To what pathetically few remain. To those who have endured, rebirthed by the blood of those who now serve your beloved”

poor soul since when blizzard listen to anyone anyways ? main reason they didn’t make new changes to lore because they want save money and effort and release the game more faster , think about it this way , if they want arthas to say sentence it won’t match the old arthas voice actor and they had to change stuff even bring new models like old gods or anything like that that didn’t exist to match wow for regin of chaos and forzen throne , but they cut cost and save money which is why they put sh((ty mobile model realstic that looks like warhammer 40k/fantasy since its more easy to made for net ease third party compare to stylized art which i would choose heroes of the storm

Blizzard is a great and creative company, but with horrible community, who will demonize them for no reasons

They’re so great that they decided to cut the new voices and new cutscenes that you wanted.

Again - Because their horrible community asked them to.

The horrible community is asking for voices back too. Just look at all the posts in this forum! Horrible.

Post from a good part of community had arrived to late. But the game will have new voices one day - It’s already have

We have new voices and here you are still complaining. Never satisfied, this horrible community. Always demanding more. Blizzard is doing a good job already keeping it the way it is and adding new voices.

But not new cutscenes and promised lore

Forget the “promise” part.

They have idea, not promise. The only promise they broke was at blizzcon when they say “don’t worry you will have reforged before 31 December” but they already explain the delay.
