4v4 RT stats actually matter now

Thanks to the “glitch” where partial AT cannot queue up for 4v4 since the start of season 5, the stats for 4v4 RT are actually relevant now, because all the games played in 4v4 RT are actually RT.

This is what the current 4v4 RT stats leaderboards look like - i.imgur(dotcom)/GazXdwj.jpeg

Compared to what last season’s leaderboards look like: i.imgur(dotcom)/1z8SdN2.jpeg

Last season, you had players who ONLY played partial AT to achieve a ridiculous win rate. They also use a trick where they AT with a super low MMR account (e.g. <100 MMR account) so when they win, they get a ridiculous amount of MMR.

Message to Blizzard: If you’re going to fix the partial AT problem queue problem, please consider my suggestion of changing it so that playing in a partial AT goes towards 4v4 AT stats instead of 4v4 RT.

Right now the 4v4 RT leaderboards actually mean something, let’s keep it that way.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, if you aren’t a full 4v4 team, you aren’t a 4v4 arranged team and thus those stats shouldn’t count toward it. It is not an accurate reflection of how you play in AT if it’s not a full AT. If anything, it should be seperated from both RT and full AT and shown as its own thing.

Your arguments seem rather dubious, as I don’t see how grouping as 2 or 3 in 4v4 is more advantageous than a full premade in enabling “ridiculous win rates.”

It’s more than likely because no matter how high your MMR is there aren’t enough players in that MMR range so you get matched with way lower players.

I don’t care about my ranking, I just wanted to be able to play the most-fun game mode (4v4rt) with my friends :frowning:

I think everyone has forgotten how to have fun at this point. :stuck_out_tongue:

I think Blizzard got lost in the plot w/ this stupid change. Who the HECK CARES about the damn Ladder points being wonky. Like who thought it was a better user experience to deny partial TEAMS to queue into TEAM games than to just fix crappy matchmaking.

So let me get this straight, ladder was being abused, and they thought to themselves “we can fix this by disallowing casuals the ability to queue with their friends for fun.” Are you TRYING to intentionally kill the game?

I care about the ladder points being wonky. It has become a better user experience for me to deny partial teams. Stats actually matter now so I actually feel motivated to play ladder. Since the start of this season, I played quite a bit because it was fun watching my MMR go up.

Now tbh it’s not the best solution. In fact I was a bit surprised when I saw the change today. I was hoping they would go for the solution I mentioned in my original post, which is to allow partial AT but count them towards 4v4 AT stats (the same way w3champions did it). I think that’s a better solution. That way, you can still play with friends and at the same time, prevent players from abusing partial AT to pad their 4v4 RT stats.

I don’t know if I understand the new changes correctly.
Now they will only try to abuse me, a poor random team 4v4 player, arranged teams of 4 but not 3 or 2? That’s what change means?

Yes. Which means you’ll actually have a harder time against a group of 4-people pre-teaming than you would 2 or 3. Also your search times will be worse. Enjoy!
