Since 1.30.3 I often can simply invite my friend for AT and it works immediately. Sometimes I stiill have to use the workaround described here: Noob question about forming arranged teams.
However, before 1.30.3 I couldn’t get AT to work without using the workaround a single time. It’s not fixed but it has been improved (at least for me).
