I have the free version of Starcraft, released to sell the remastered version, and I noticed the campaign editor from decades ago when I last played starcraft is missing. I’m trying to install SCXE 2.6 as a campaign editor but it won’t work without files that are missing.
I can’t find the files Stardat.mpq, Broodat.mpq, storm.dll, Redit20.dll, or SEditEnu.loc.
When SC1 was remastered (post v1.16.1), the game files were repackaged and so they don’t use the Stardat.mpq or Broodat.mpq archives anymore. I’m not familiar with the other two you listed.
The last updated StarEdit that was released can be found here. However, it was discontinued before SCR was, so it did start to have issues, some that were never fixed.
I didn’t know what you were talking about before, I thought I needed some kind of file package, but I now know what your talking about. Those files I am missing are not part of the game but the campaign editor.
Your link worked, the old campaign editor did have those files. Thank you. I see a box called “Solution” it looks already checked but I don’t remember checking it.
