Bonjour Service 100 at Event Viewer on Windows

can the “Bonjour Service 100” log appear in the event viewer on Windows, regardless of whether it’s Battle.net or UDP?

Yes, it can. Bonjour is an apple service, but it is used to LAN services like multiplayer for Starcraft. Some other services outside of iTunes and SC1 uses Bonjour as well. Adobe is also known to use bonjour.

And if the log doesn’t appear simply because of the same network connection, could it be the reason why iTunes is installed?

I’m not entirely sure of the question here. Bonjour shouldn’t have installed iTunes to my knowledge. There is a separate installation for Bonjour on Windows.

Bonjour Activation Popup

As it is now, the Bonjour activation popup appears every time one lands on the main multiplayer screen. Not just when entering it for the first time from the game’s main menu, but also when back-navigating to it. There’s been periodic feedback about its annoyances, and of making a ‘do not ask again’ feature.
