Zerg so far at Blizzcon? 4 for 4

oh another group gets dominated by zerg haha.

The race is broken. All zerg units are extremely good for cost and many are flat out broken. I am not at all impressed by what any of these zerg players are doing.

just nerf infestors.

These 3 are the best zergs atm. If you would have played out group c and d first, we would have 3 toss right now advancing most likely.

Also dont forget that their opponents were special and showtime…

To be fair, the things that have been giving Zerg the biggest advantages in Blizzcon so far (Nydus and Infestor + BL) are getting addressed in the upcoming patch. Some say that the Infestor changes are a buff, not a nerf. I say, we will just have to play the patch and see. I think the upcoming Nydus changes will fix a lot of what has been wrong with Nyduses these past few months.

We also have to acknowledge the fact that you can nerf a race, but you can’t nerf Serral. He is just too good. He seems to make Zerg look more imba than they may be – because, let’s be honest, Infestor + BL may be stronk, but it is still a very tough army comp to control, and so people at my level can get to that scary lategame army and still just throw it all away (I speak from experience here).

I say this as a 3k MMR random player with Terran as my main, so my opinion doesn’t matter for much.

I should note that I am lowkey salty that Terran doesn’t have much hope left to go far in this tournament; but I can’t really say if that’s because of balance issues or because Terrans just suck

But hey Batz said Zerg is weak and Terran is overpowered.

Zerg should not have the economy lead in SC2 as their units are very cost efficient now.

It is a shame the patch didn’t arrive before Blizzcon because it is very blatant we will have another Zerg winner being carries by broken race.

I can’t even imagine what goes through the heads of stupid devs removing upgrade requirement for such a powerful ability like Neural and still buffing the Infested Terran.

Zerg should be 4 for 3. Buff Zerg!

in the end, we will have a 4/3/1 race distribution. 4 zergs, 3 toss and one terran. dark, soo, serral and rogue will make it out of the groups. seems like terran underperforms, but if you think about it… imagine an innovation or a ty instead of some korean tosses and you would end up with again - an almost ideal race distribution.

so the impression of a too weak terran/too strong zerg is due to the lack of good terrans at blizzcon.

5/2/1

Clearly Zerg is underpowered and needs to be buffed so that it’s 8/0/0.

Stop the BS, everybody knows that zerg is OP right now. You cant hide the fact.

Just stop the bla bla bla. Zerg is OP. Period. Serral is good but he is human. Stop saying BS. What we are seeing here is a complete domination of Zerg that had nothing to do with skill. Stop trying to say that there are no good players for protoss or terran, it is rude and not very intelligent.

They are just the best terrans right now ellegible by rank spot!! You … Go learn how they are in the tournament!!

reynor wont make it out of the groupstage. rogue will advance. elazer and reynor not.

The map pool heavily favors Zerg with so many huge, open maps though. It’s hard for the other races to ever push out, since Zerg can always threaten the counterattack with lings, and Zerg has an easier time spreading creep for vision and defending on such large maps, since their units are so fast, and the openness makes it easy for them to take favorable engages.

Balance is also favoring Zerg without that atm, but… the maps compound the issue. I’d be surprised if the finals wasn’t a ZvZ.

Eh, true, but Reynor will likely make it out of group C, and Rogue out of group D. We’ll almost certainly see 5/6 Zergs making it into the round of 8, if not 6/6; Elazer has a real shot of making it out of group D alongside Rogue. Trap isn’t great in PvZ, and Neeb lost to Elazer the last time they played in a tournament.
Neeb probably ends up last in the group. Trap vs Elazer is a toss up, but with PvZ being below 45% on the pro scene for the past month, and Trap having a rough time against good Zerg players, I’m inclined to think Elazer actually makes it out.

that are assumptions, so its way to early to allrdy freak out. lets wait and see, how the ro8 will look like. my prediction is a 4/3/1. yours might be 5/2/1 or even 6/1/1. every one of them could be true, so its a waste of time and energy, to allrdy debate about that.

i duno, reynor seems weak against koreans. the only real result he had against koreans was a 2-0 against classic, after losing 0-2 in that same group against classic. as for elazer… i think hes overrated because of his gsl vs world result and tbh, he had really big gridluck that tournament. the only noticable result was the win against dark, but dark always tends to treating foreigners not serious. you could also see that in the first map against showtime. so i dont think, that the win win against dark means really much.

That’s because you’re a pathetic whiner who doesn’t know anything about the game.

Every Zerg that won was a massive favourite. The soO and Dark series were actually much closer than expected so if anything Zerg has been underperforming. showtime and Special are nowhere near their level but they’re benefitting from playing easier, stronger races.

Bath Salts are bad for you.

5 different Zergs win in one year!

Hey, Shaz! When is the last time 5 Terrans won? Not in one year, just 5 different Terrans won. How far back in History do you have to go to get FIVE different winners?

TERRAN SO EZ THAT ONLY 2 PLAYERS HAVE A CHANCE IN HELL AT WINNING AND STILL CAN’T WIN!
