When did Zerg become the punching bag that just sits back and takes hit after hit?
Terran and Protoss both have the option to be diverse and harass early game whereas zerg just has to sit back and take it.

Oh no race that has fastest economy insta tech switch have tiny little weakness in early game, oh the horror Blizz pls nerf Toss/Terran more and buff Zerg yes we still win ewerything but please make early game Z strong again!

Zerg was always the punching bag, but a punching bag that always hits back.
Protoss is the real punching bag, if you sit back, you die, if you harass, you are sucessful and just delay the enemy, or you fail and you are behind or directly lose the game. While having the option of being diverse, it also means protoss can have many build order loses. With terran that option is slim, with zerg?,build order loss as zerg?, you must play funday monday with zerg to achieve a build order loss.

I suppose that happened when they nerfed Nydus for obvious reasons. Perhaps they can nerf Z late and compensate w Z early buff but carefuly with that Z early game buff. There’s your balance on Zerg.

How can you guys be a punching bag when you can get 3 bases up two mins into the game with little resistance from other races? Makes no sense.

LOTV, when inject was nerfed. Zerg being defensive is another way of saying Zerg’s unit strength to economy ratio isn’t good enough to compete with Terran or Protoss. Zerg has to use defenders advantage to stay on par throughout the game. Terran can make 6 hellions in the early game and keep up on economy, but if Zerg made 24 lings their economy would be completely gutted.
In HOTS Zerg used to be able to do +1 ling bane timings or roach timings and they weren’t all in. Terran and Protoss can do that in LOTV but if Zerg does it basically has to end the game otherwise it’s basically gg.

What is “Cherry picking?”
Funny thing is people were whining when Zerg couldn’t win in Korea for years.
TvZ has always been attack/defend. The Terran units are simply too cost effective and powerful to take any fight offcreep as Zerg until lategame. Also Terran defence is unbreakable for Zerg if he doesn’t play creedy or forgets to scout.
Terran tech way faster than Zerg, and a single Terran units can be a deadly threat for Zerg, while bio can handle every Zerg units in small number (even ultras/broodlords/lurkers), so you need a lot of them, so you need a big eco, so you always slow tech and focus on building strong economy first (which leaves you vulnerable to harass as you need to make the fewest amount of army units you can).
ZvP is much more balance => Protoss do harass Zerg, can perform cheeses, has a powerful lategame, but so Zerg can do some harass/cheeses, deathball (less true with infestor big nerf now).

When zerg started to win almost everthing in 2018, 2019 and 2020 till present. Tournaments are almost no fun to watch.
I can say for sure, at all levels of skill and Pro as well, ZvP, takes a lot less skill from the zerg, then protoss in this match up.
