Zerg problem at lower leagues

First I typed it only at zerg section but I think it will be good if also terran can whine and protoss can lie that is not true.

Before you answer please read carefully. I talk about gold/platinum (wood league you know). I dont talk about GM or tournaments, you really can´t compare it, its not about balance but about who is actually better or have bad day.

So I am zerg player fresh platinum. I am strugling against protos and terran. Mirror not even mention, its same for everyone.

With terran is mostly my mistakes, I can´t scout properly and don´t know how to engage tanks. ZvT is sometimes fun for me. Sadly at my league, is 80% games hard turtle and than mass BC or Thor.
I am little upset about thors, against zerg its seems to my like braindead unit bcs you just don´t have counter except viper lurker. But like i said mostly my fault, and sometimes is fun.

But i have problem with ZvP. Almost every game is void spam, with some exception. I lost 90% this game.

lets look at standart PvZ nowday. So void spam.

As zerg you have to reposition your spore and queens constantly transfuse queens when void engage + rest of normal zerg play.

As protoss you wall your neutral and set rally for your stargete… And thats its.

Just a minimal micro with your void but after you kill first or two queen you don´t even have to, you just clump your void and ez gg.

Before I start to cry i did some testing and want try PvZ first. And what a suprise it was.

PvP 8
PvT 12
PvZ 1
PvR 1 (zerg, what a poor guy).

That 22 game as prottos is all i did as P except single campaing. I didn´t even know buildorders I just randomly throw building to wall and spam void. I won both ZvP (first was my league, second not bcs i leave all PvP PvT so lower mmr)

Noone play zerg, you wonder why right? Its rly simple. The requirments for skill in ZvP is much much harder for zerg know. I don´t tell P are OP now at average. But they are OP at my league.
And not even at my league. You can look at Lowko protoss, he lost in ZvZ and after that he completely dominated same player with this strategy and that game looked like he plaed against bronze Z. I know hes not pro but still master league is good.

I know activision (yeah guys Blizzard is no more, admit it) don´t care about it anymore. But this situation is bad for every player from B-GM. If all not pro players leave game or zerg atleast i don´t know how fun it will be when only two race stay.

Muta/Ling/bling

it beats plat mech due to mobility

harass the terran to death, and dont’ fight armies unless forced to do so, or unless you have an overwhelming advantage.

Force him to make like 4 turrets per base, especially if he’s meching, the means he has fewer tanks and thors.

Againt protoss, do th eexact same thing, until they get phoenix, then make corrupters and hydralisk vs stuff like colossi.

Hydralisk do good against void rays, and even mutaisk do good against voids, becaue of heal and bounce damage. They are light units, and void spam not good against mobs of smaller units. and you use broke festors for spells to weaken and slow the voids. Queens is fine, but you’d need a TON of queens to fight voids, and you’d need gosu transfuse micro to fight voids, so if you don’t have enough gas, make more queens, but if you have gas, hydralisk and mutalisk and infestors is the way to go vs voids.

Like what’s you Zerg APM?

If you can play 80APM as Zerg, you should be able to beat a Platinum Terran or Protoss with Muta/Loing/Bling opener,

you won’t even need to change anything vs Terran. Vs Protoss you will need to swap back to hydralisk and infestors once he gets a crital mas sof phoenix, but try to save your mtuas for later.

LIke practice against the Insane AI on the map pool you play on, and aim for 10 hatch 10 queen and just spame zerglings the entire game, and see if you can beat the Insane Terran AI on the map pool. You can buy upgrades for the Zerglings, but just keep cranking lings and attacking the entire game.

Ten do the same thing vs the Insane Protoss AI. Win by cranking 10 hatch 10 queen lings the entire game.

When you can win that every game, you should be able to beat platinum Teran and platinum Protoss.

Making queens non stop while dronning and getting 3 bases and doing a hidra-ling-queen against a voidtoss is not hard and will give youw ins every time. I does not matter if there is shield batteries, hit at minute 8-9 and you win because you have more dps because voids do nothing against non armored units.

If you are playing lategame, viper-corruptor spam and you win because no Plat Z will split the voids and never will hit the feedback button.

At plat and lower Z is not a very good race because the player has poor macro, Z is the best race in diamond just by pure macro. My tip is to learn proper macro, and play hidra-ling every time there is a toss doing voids, at that level you don’t need anything more as long as you hit the inject and drone button and do nothing weird.

When you practice on a vs Insane AI game, you can tell the AI what units to train, so you if you can beat a 400EPM AI that has a 40% money cheat, then you can beat a platinum doing the same strat.

But year, Voids suck vs Light units, so mass hydraliks or mutas, and just focus fire the voids and micro you rown units. And mutas let you harass the tosss and force him to waste more money on cannons, so he doesn’t get as much voids.

Either strat will work, so mix it up some.

Like if you ling/overlord scout nad the P has made 4/5 cannons in this choke, he can’t attack you soon, so just expand twice more, and crank the hell out of drones while you go for lair tech. You should be able to win by just out macroing the P if he is a cannon noob.

Like post some replays and stuff and we’ll tell you how to gain both a tech advantage and a macro advantage. But it’s pretty much if he is voids spam just stick ort light units and keep expanding, especially when you see he blcoekd wit the 4/5 cannons.

That is the worst suggestion for low level players. Muta requires you to be active and harass and it’s bad in straight up fights. For people in plat against mech that’s an easy way to lose.

I only got 80APM and neorlogical disease, and I can win with that strat.

Explain that to me?

I open ling muta in 2vs2 almost every ggame too, and embarrass both opponents, regardless of matchup. It works, and in Broodwar that’s about all zerg had in 2s.

In 1vs1 I open ling/muta vs any terran compo and win with 80apm.

In plat league with a 30% winrate, sure

Depends. I actually am ranked as hight as 50 Diamond on the old ranking system, which is about 50 middle Diamond now. I have replays of winning 1vs2 Platinum in the end of HotS in 2s.

Depends on map too, on some maps my percentage was negative I admit, but on other maps my percent was as high as 97 to 99% wins vs platinums and diamonds.

I don’t play any more because it’s pointless for me to try to compete with a neurological illness, but I still know what I was doing to beat plats, and the new units don’t effect these matchps at all, so same strat wins.

Sude, Scarlatte stays on muta/ling the entire game against terran regardless of build, and never tech swap. So muta/loing IS the way to go vs terran, with some infestor too obviously.

Hey you’re pretty damn good, better than me anyway, but that’s not saying much, I’ve been medically disabled every sins 2004, officielaly since 2012, so being “better than me” doesn’t mean much.

I told him a freaking pro-gamer strat that I happen to be able to 1vs2 plats using only 80APM. If I can do that, then a perfectly healthy player should be able to do that with practice.
