Your opinion on Thors at the moment?

I know it’s kind of soon to tell.

  1. But let me know do you think was a right change?

  2. tvz feels more balanced at the moment?

  3. too strong, or just right?

  4. Zerg plans to counter it? early push? very greedy? or trading continuasly so Terran can 't max out?

Thors are useful in all matchups. More in TvZ compared to TvT or TvP but it does has it uses in all matchups.

I think they are perfectly balanced now. They finally do their job at countering capital air units and they are more responsive thanks to the patch changes. They have clear downsides as well: They are expensive, slow, cost a lot of supply and have strong counters.

Basically I think Thors are in the perfect spot now and no changes are needed.

They are not that great. they trade badly. vipers or sworm hosts can kill them for free. but bio tank outside 3 base all in is dead and thor is best what we have … vs P is just bad … you cant dodge disruptors = again can be killed for free … and you need more agile AA …

Vipers, sworm hosts and disruptors … have no good counter … and thors is very vulnerable to them …

I feel you have to have like at least 10 Thors to looks scary.

not even 10 … its only one game … but you can see the problem here … soo had half the economy . but had mutch better trades … mech now need play like zerg and expand rapidly … mech is no longer more cost effective composition … i saw many game like this current patch

What was the change?

Nah I saw that video. Soo stayed on a very inefficient army comp vs what he was facing. Locusts were getting roasted by hellbats, and roach ravager doesn’t have the late game longevity of other comps.
But to answer the question, I think it’s just gonna be a learning curve for zerg, I don’t think it’s OP

I think Thors are great. I might argue for a +1 armor like they had the last time, but they are fine without that too. Obviously if they get +1 armor, I’m all right if Zerg and Protoss get compensation and other buffs in return (though I’m not sure what kind of buffs).

HIP is slightly too strong.

you can see at 22:07 that soo lost 40000 . maru the winig player with a mech 42000. loosing zerg (race with stronges economy in the game) out value mech …

maru won that game only thx to hellion runbys … soo did non …
Thor compositions are not cost effective that is bad for slow expensive to make late game terran unit

Because soo had picked off so many tanks, not Thor’s. That’s explained in the video

that was when they where around 16000 lost … after that thors where marus most produced unit 19:08 you can se he lost 16 thors and 19 tanks … thor cost is similar as 2 tanks …

And then soo lost the game

What thor change? Only infestors and adepts were changed in the last patch.

Baka baka BAKA.

Thor

  • High Impact Payload damage decreased from 40 (+15 vs Massive) to 25 (+10 vs Massive).
  • High Impact Payload weapon cooldown decreased from 1.7 to 0.9.

He is referring to the “fix” patch that reverted the Adept change and buffed Microbial Shroud; but that response is a bit on the nose.

I heard SpeCial talking about the strength of lurkers in this matchup and thors are pretty trash against lurkers since they can never really get a good engage

If your idea of balanced is ez wins for Terran, then yes.

Thors are fine.

Zerg can’t just build Broodlords and expect them to beat everything on the ground.

I’ve seen Zergs saying that Broodlords should be able to 1v1 Thors. Wrap your head around that entitlement and logic.

Did they fixed the weird animation on walk attack at least?
