Question, I was wondering if speeding up the Vikings transform speed would be useful or not. I occasionaly see Vikings used to harass toss mineral line, and I’m wondering if this small buff would make any difference in their versitality at all.
Ever seen 4 vikings in Protoss mineral line?
If yes, theres your answer.

Land your vikings and put them in a medivac for more mobility. (Yo we heard you like starships, so we put your starships in other ships).
(Don’t actually do this if you wanna win games. You CAN, but that’d be dumb)
I don’t think it’d make a difference. Even if you transform a little faster, you are still very likely to be chased down/out by stalkers, phoenixes, voidrays, corruptors, queens, etc. It’d probably make a difference in tvt though.
I’ve occasionally seen this happen in high level, mostly TvT. Medivacs are faster than Vikings, so it can be useful for running away.
Viking harass in mineral lines is uncommon. The main issue is the speed of the viking in the air- it takes a long time to fly to the mineral lines, and is extremely slow flying out. Improving the transform time will do very little, since the issue is it’s ability to get out safely. If there was to be an upgrade that improves speed, then that’d be a different story- and completely broken.
