This post is in regards to the recent patch comments by terran who “feel behind” economically.

The things in this image:
protoss is near 4 full saturation bases, Terran is on 3
Protoss has killed 39 workers to terrans 13 workers Protoss is on 77 workers and terran is on 49
Protoss mineral income is 2351
Terran mineral income is 3135
Of course, that’s how the match up works. But he is still a base behind and mules will make his ressources dry up faster so he NEEDS to expand soon. Terrans feel like they are always NEEDED to be expanding to keep up with the Protoss or he pulls ahead. Also you saturate bases a lot faster. Finally, the income of Terran is only higher for now as he had energy banked up. The income will soon deflate back to normal value and being MUCH lower the the Protoss.
On equal workers Protoss is behind simply threw mule. So they invest more into probes to hold up with the eco. But the problem with that is now they have less army supply available compared to terran.
So either they are behind in total army supply or in eco.
Warp alleviates the supply problem that allows for protoss to restore units at the frontline faster then terran can, hopefully balancing out terrans potential higher army supply.
Zerg do the same thing with how their production works.
The map control belong to the player with superior income. Getting another base as any faction(not just Terran) is not hard when you have more money(Because more money almost always give you more army).
If you feel that way, you probably need to think about how the Terran army work to understand why it feel that way.
Hint: T units are weak in small number and no upgrade.
He needs to expand…kind of like how protoss needs to expand just to keep up with mules? Every race needs to expand as the game goes along. What a dumb point.
Because of mules terran economy goes through giant peaks and smaller valleys because they still have scvs doing their thing. If you average out the peaks and valleys the economies are the same. Just look at all those stupid threads talking about that reddit post where the guy mitigated the effect of mules and at best the terran was down 100 minerals a minute
Whoa now, you are responding to him with logic. I am pretty sure that is not allowed in this forum. Next, you might even point out how Protoss units cost more than terran units.
you guys are the most biased players I have ever seen… You know your race is op yet you still abuse it and complain to get even more buffs… The rich get richer I guess…
We’d need way more context to understand this picture. It was certainly taken soon after terran dropped several mules (theres no other way to have 3k+ minerals a minute on 3 bases). And protoss likely had unmining (or inefficiently mining) probes.
Mules don’t last forever but you can can drop the same number of mules what every 50 seconds or so. Essentially, this terran can potentially stay at his current worker count for the rest of the game and never build another worker and just rely on mules and still out-mine his protoss opponent. That’s the point! I play games against people in masters 3 and 2 from time to time and honestly its crazy frustrating that I always have to get to 75-80 drones and they just stop at 55 SCVs or so and still out-mine me and push me to the very edge.
I’m mostly just shocked that I’m up 30 workers and one whole base and he’s still out-mining me by that much. It really makes me wonder at all how I win games when I don’t kill 30 workers since
I’m being out mined by mules pretty much from the get go
