Is anyone still working on future tweaks to Co-Op?
A short wish list:
Dehaka and Wahaka on the same command card.
Han decrease the cost of bombing platforms for P3, currently too expensive. Or let them hit air.
Karax speed build of all Nexuses (including others) reinstated when doing Chrono Wave.
Karax carriers get improved move speed.
Tychus gets ability to turn off secondary abilities like Sirius’s fear casting.
Zagara scrounge cost fix, change from -50 gas to a percentage decrease. Benefits P3 Zag who struggles vs. Air.
Last I talked to Tangor, they’re not working on it anymore.
As an aside, the changes that were made focused more on bug fixes than suggestions/requests.
One question I do have. If there is currently no dev team, who is fixing these bugs? I mean this honestly. Just wondering.
It was a group of people. The only two I saw mentioned were CtG and TangorCraft (there may have been more). Tangor did all the editor work to make the changes.
Once the work was finished for each patch, they turned it in to their contacts at Bliz. From there, it was merged in with the existing Coop mod.

That’s a shame. I was really hoping that they were going to update coop units with their ladder counterparts. That push priority to the ultralisks from the recent patch was a good change especially in coop where you can field even more units since you’re just on at most 2 bases.
If no one else is doing it, might someone new pick up the project?
I don’t see why not. The trick is knowing someone in the right dept in Bliz, like CtG/Tangor/etc did.
.
IIRC, this had nothing to do with the source code, correct? It was mentioned that Mengsk and Stetmann were “kooky” enough behind-the-scenes that modifying the source code is the only way to go about it for them.
Right. It’s all done using the editor.
All the commanders except Mengsk and Stetmann were built into the Coop mod which is accessible through the editor.
For whatever reason, Bliz decided to do Mengsk and Stetmann differently. They were built as their own standalone mods, which the editor doesn’t have access to.
