Ever since upgrading to Windows 11, setting the display mode to Windowed (Fullscreen) has the Windows taskbar displaying over the game. Setting the task bar to auto hide doesn’t resolve the issue as the taskbar comes up when the mouse pointer is in the lower area.
I can still play the game in Fullscreen mode, but I like being able to see the game whilst doing other things.
Any help would be appreciated.
That’s more a job for Microsoft than for Blizzard.
Microsoft are ultracompatibilizing SC2 with Windows 11 !!
This doesn’t really happen with other games.
OP, are you playing on ultrawidescreen? I think it’s related to that.
I’m also using Windows 11. I’ve noticed on my neo g9 if my desktop res is 5120x1440 and run SC2 windowed fullscreen, the game will not black bar the sides. Instead, the desktop will be visible on the sides (i.e. it’s not fullscreen) and the taskbar will sit on top of the game.
If I set the desktop to res to 2560x1400 it’s fine. Obviously not ideal, though.
Would appreciate a fix for windowed fullscreen on wider resolutions! Thanks.
