I was having a lot of problems with my rank, and went to a forums page. I had a few dozen replies which were all pretty much said the same thing - it’s bugged (best to look at MMR).
Will blizzard fix the ranking system?
They haven’t in a long time.
It’s possible that if MMR is correct and that is what is ultimately used to match, they won’t bother. In other words, they may not bother with something that is a display error only
If it was high up on their list I’d expect there would have been some communication about it by now. Also, it’s not something that ESL has any reason to make much noise about. So I wouldn’t expect anything in the near future at least.
To fix it, it must they admit it was wrong and broken all this time, when was last time blizzar admited to be wrong? in theyre vision theyre gods, and gods are never wrong

You know I am tired of people saying “No” or “Never”.
If SC2 brings income they should.
If they want more income, I am ready to pay for ranked ladder, one time or monthly. It is a game a played more than a decade and I still love it. (Plus that will solve more problems like smurfs, or at least the nr. of them)
