Why no Zerg Advisor?

Self-explanatory question. Every Co-op mission advisor is either a terran or protoss.

What is so bad about having a Zerg advisor?

Because SC2 Co-op has 15 maps and stopped developing. We would have welcomed a map that Naktul, Kilysa or a random Primal Zerg Pack Leader as advisor but nope.

With Co-op effectively stopped, we won’t get a new map/commander/content or even a fix/revamp.

Zerg solve their own problems, they don’t need to recruit others :stuck_out_tongue:

They don’t speak English. If they do, they sound a little slow, like the queen.

Zergs don’t really have many characters. Most of them either a commander or planned to be a commander.

I always wanted a co-op mission to take place on Zerus with a mission involving primal zerg stuff. Fighting through 3 different bosses on Zerus could have been a cool mission.

Cuz the gods said in a prophecy, “no Zerg shall ever be support cast”. And the rest is history.

You mean the mission’s NPCs? It would’ve been nice to have a mission where you need to help a local brood, some primal zerg that are out on their own, etc. It was never to be.

I want the Overmind to command me.

Well, at least co op got the snake lady with the robotic yet seductive voice. Do miss the overmind though.

To be honest, those missions probly wouldn’t have been timed, so it was never gonna happen. Dead of Night was literally a “If we don’t add this as a map, people are gonna flood our inboxes and spam the forums while we still have development going”, it’s basically a map addition by default.

With a better dev team we could have gotten something akin to All-In or In Utter Darkness, maybe a co-op commander or two gets to make an appearance again and rescue the two players with a big fleet that’ll run as a distraction to get you out of there and leave as Amon’s sending “everything” to wipe you out.

But no, also it’s more Starcraft 2 that stopped development, honestly they should host a co-op mapping contest where the best maps get added officially, give the forum moderators in-game moderators or maybe the MVPs something more to do.

Blizzard’s dev team was basically developing them as if it wasn’t possible to make non-timed maps, basically had little for creativity in that department, one of the more recent maps is just the Korhal Rifts map all over again and I can actually prove that it’s the worst-made co-op map, I’d be accepting of it and understanding if it was literally designed by a make-a-wish foundation kid on their death bed who was madly into Starcraft 2 Co-op Missions, otherwise, honestly it’s why I think map vetos should be a thing in co-op missions and it shouldn’t reduce the random mission exp bonus.

I automatically quit when I get that missions anyways, it actually is just god awful. I’d rather play Vermillion problem as a Void Array-less Zeratul and with a co-op partner that literally isn’t doing anything (tbh 1/4th of my games these days) and let me tell you, Vermillion problem has some stupidly arbitrary decisions behind it whihc make it annoying as hell, but at least it isn’t Scythe of Amon with a side objective that requires you to almost clear the map by 15 minutes when getting your expansion literally requires you to complete a part of the main objective.

Whoever made that map takes their body’s skin for granted.
