Why can't I play offline without an internet connection?

Am I the only one who thinks this is an oxymoron? If my internet goes down because my service provider sucks, I can’t play the campaign while I wait for the connection to come back. If I travel to an area without internet for an extended period of time, this game is now just taking up 30 gigs of space on my SSD. WTF? This doesn’t make sense.

actually, you can dude. the only way to access offline play is by disconnecting all internet connections, at least as far as i know. When you go to login it will tell you that you do not have an internet connection and ask if you want to play offline. Campain and custom games are available, with what ever maps you have played in the past.

I didn’t get the same results. I downloaded it, played it with the internet active, then closed the game. I tried playing at a later time without the internet and it asked if I wanted to play offline.

When I clicked “play offline” it told me that I needed to connect to the internet to “verify the client” before I could play offline. It was pretty absurd.

itll do that sometimes, usually on new accounts, if you login all the time it doesnt.

I see. I’ll log in a few more times and see if it remembers me.

I’ve seen this theory many times in the past, but all the times I tried to play without a connection, it never ever let me :frowning:

yeah its definatly a weird they do it like that.

I’ve gotta be honest I’ve never had any issue playing offline. Campaign and vs AI both should be available offline.
