As an average terran player, I know my own widow mines and siege tanks can kill my own units. But can someone tell me what other units in the game deal friendly fire? Banelings? Collosus? Liberators?
Thanks!

liberators dont
mines and tanks
i dont think any none terran units deal friendly fire on attack but spells do such as disruptors
storm
corrosive bile.
fungal doesnt.
i think thats it?
emp and anti armor missile negative debuff friendly units.
But what about for other races? or is it just Terran units?
no trust me terran has worse friendly fire for a good reason. you see if spells like para bomb and fungal growth had friendly fire it would force zergs to micro
Tank made friendly fire mine can be triggered by unit who chase for oponent army
Protoss:
High Templar --> Storm
Disruptor --> Purification Nova (Exception: friendly Disruptor)
Terran:
Siege Tank
Widow mines
*Planetary Fortress does not deal friendly fire.
Zerg:
None
Terran Siege tank and Mines has friendly fire is because, they requires 0 - very little micro, so you can act as if clicking T and a-move is a move only the very skillful few can do.
Sarcasm aside, that’s because Siege tank has a range of 13 that deals AOE massive damage, there should be a downside yeah?
Zerg uses low HP melee units.
Fungal growth can’t deal friendly damage, because one of the main purposes of the spell is to catch bio with ling-bane.
is there ANY excuse for parasitic b though?
You forgot EMP and AA missile. They also deal FF.
As for Zerg, Ravager bile deal FF.
Thanks! I didn’t know Strom did FF!
Take the rate of inaccuracies people have posted in this thread, and extrapolate it to all the other threads in the forums… and you have the recommended dosage of salt grains needed when reading these forums.
Zerg needs broodlords, who can’t shoot up. That’s a lot of supply that’s NOT dedicated to anti-air. Corruptors have a weak range and can be kited.
With ghosts, thors, widow mines and vikings just being really good, Zerg kind of needs Parasitic bomb to be good, else they’d just melt hard.
Late game ZvT is already enough of a struggle for Zerg players as it is.
Can you clarify which statements were incorrect?
Terran:
Zerg:
Protoss:
Woah, EMP deals FF? That’s interesting to know, even though nobody will likely see it.
Thanks for the correction.
Well, it drains friendly energy at any rate. Shoot a marine with it, and he doesn’t care. Most frequently I believe this was actually used to protect medivacs from getting killed by feedback from high templars set on guard duty at expansions.
Welcome
This happens when you EMP DT (to make it visible) that is standing next to your ghosts…
Now you mention it, yeah, I remember a game where someone emp their own medivacs so they can move in without taking damage from feedback.
The target of Parasitic Bomb could rush into the Zerg player’s air army if PB dealt friendly-fire.
